As you can probably tell from the title - the Quad Lock was the winner
We’ve been using Quad Lock phone cases and bicycle mounts on our phones for years - so we actually look forwards to using these on our Bromptons too

Lovely, I was looking for a video showing the fold with the mount. However I wish you had included the Quadlock Out Front mount as well as that would allow the handlebar bottle pouch to fit as well.

I was considering splurging on the Quad Lock ecosystem until I came across Peak Design with the thin adapter and MagLock connection...they haven't released it yet (planning to in the next few months) but I know they have sent out demos for people to review. I'd love to see you compare the Quad Lock to Peak Design for the Brompton!

Great presentation - as usual. I don't think its for me though as I don't want anything stuck to the back of my phone and the version with a case is a tad costly. Full marks for the coffee test though. Coffee in a Real Mug...Mmm - I'm so sick of travel mugs!

Hi Brilliant Team! Unfortunately I have an old (and very much loved!) P-handlebar Brommie. What Quad Lock mount would possibly fit my bike, in your opinion? They really look sturdy. I also checked out the Trigo, but I didn't read many enthusiastic reviews about it, as apparently it needs to be filed down to fit the handlebar in order to be installed safely... So I'd really need some help on this one. Thanks in advance, your channel is absolutely lovely!

Finally one that fits properly. I've got the Out Front Mount on my Electric H6L, and it works fine, but you have to take care when mounting as it easily can touch when folding. Also, to those sceptical about the strength of the QuadLock mounting when you have an expensive phone: I also use a QuadLock on my motorcycle handlebar for my iPhone (with the caseback, not the stick patch) and last year I had a fairly heavy crash. I hit a crash railing by the side of the road, motorcycle damages for 10 grand, 2 broken ribs, smashed visor on my helmet, smashed intercom etc etc. But: my phone was still in place in the Quadlock mount, and unharmed by the whole thing :) Great piece of kit!

One week after I go all in on SP Connect mounts, Quad Lock releases a Brompton mount. Perfect timing. 🙄 Btw, before I got the SP Connect mounts, I used Quad Lock. My problem with QL: You can only order from QL, can’t get them in shops (at least not in Germany), no free shipping for small orders, not enough replacement parts. My old iPhone QL mount got really loose, I think because of wear on the top plate on the mount. Which you can uninstall, but you can’t get a replacement, so you have to buy a complete new mount. 👎 My reasons for SP Connect: more secure / less wobbly, more mount options and adapters, free shipping, can get them at bike shops. Let’s see how good they still are after a year of use.

I am planning on using this to mount a Hammerhead Karoo 2 - I needed to order a 3d printed quad lock adapter for the Karoo, but it should work. I do wonder if I should just have bought a handlebar bridge instead, so I could use more standard mounts and mount more unnecessary bike crap

The curved handlebar types, 'H' & 'M,' have very little space that is horizontal and suitable for mounting stuff. This phone mount takes up ALL that available space, leaving no room for anything else. For this reason it is no use to me, even if I was prepared to put up with a phone that was lumpy on the back

For what it’s worth I have had good luck with my Morpheus case on my S-bar. I will say though that the case adds a lot of weight to the iPhone 11 Pro. Will the quad lock front mount work on an S-bar?

Does the case allow for using a wireless charger?

It won't work with the p bar because the p bar mounts the gear/brake levers above, so the cables come down where the phone would sit. You have to instead use a bar mount at the top of the p bar.

Great review on a cold day. Was that a crack I saw on your phone screen? This seems like a demo that could be done indoors when cold except the coffee cup "demo" would have been messier! I look forward to a review on the Brompton Electric firmware

Buy a QuadLock case for your phone model. There universal adaptor is only for people who don't have a supported device model.

I used one of the stick on ones a few years ago. 3M VHB is very good indeed. It didn't come off. They stick kitchens together with it.

Me Wrong we think you are not wrong - the adapter (not the one with the Brompton mount), came un stuck from the two things we used (OK a cup and make up)

3m vhb works great, if it ever comes off its more likely the problem with not cleaning the surface properly before applying, or did not wait enough time for it to bond tight
