Man, I wish there were events like this near me. I'm just about the only cyclist around. I hardly ever see anyone else on a bike unless it is a cyclotourist passing through.

People come from out of the area sometimes to participate. Perhaps there is a similar event in a neighboring city? This event didn't exist until a couple of people decided to organize it. Maybe are are other people in your area who'd like this if they knew what these events are like. Don't give up.
