Fenicio Gaditano/Much284, Brompton can use similar Road Bike standard BB Size. You need 68mm BB Lengh, 24mm or 24mm 22mm stepped crank, long Spindle. I recommend 6 speed with chainrings 39 44 46 max 50, 2 speed 53 56. Good Luck to all my Buddy.

After installation, any folding problems? I installed sram apex gxp on my brompton without spacer and when i fold it, the back side of the chainring hit the triangle... then i put one spacer, but the left side of the spindle is too short (im afraid it will fall while im cycling)

Eduardo Teodoro , Does it do any difference. performance depending how strong your leg, but if just Does it do any difference yes because will look awesome from the stock crank.

@@doddypermadi1418 not with double ring but in single ring no issue. With right position of the crankset double ring can just fold and push but not spinning

era primandita, you need to look at the issue carefully. Actually not the bb issue but crank spindle. this what you can do, use only one ring, tighten the spindle accordingly as need and slightly release. my recommendation use shimano or litepro the best.

It will not rub the frame (rear triangle) when folding because the center axle is too short

since Brompton bottom bracket have length 119. how can you replace with sram ceramic BB since Sram have shorter bb than bb stock for brompton

I'm not able to remove the crank like he did, do I need a special crank remover ?

If just the crank you trying to remove then it should only be a correct size Allen key or spanner for the lock nut bolt. ....but if you’re trying to remove the bottom bracket also then yes, you need a bottom bracket tool like so. But before buying one make sure what type of bottom bracket you have prior buying the tool. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264319773795 OR www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253743541874 The long nose pliers works also as shown on the video or a flat screwdriver wedge on one of the groove and hammering slowly ie. to the direction you wanted (loosening/tightening) but this is just for emergency only as you might end up ruining the bottom bracket cup especially if they are made out of plastic type. Worst case scenario get it to a bike shop where they should have enough tools for the job. Do remember when fitting another bottom bracket with a different type, you might need a different tool for it again.

Hi. I'm a Brompton novice so please go easy on me if this is a stupid question, but how do you change from the large chainring to the small one and vice-versa while you're riding. Also have you put a different chain tensioner on to handle the two chainring sizes. Thanks.

PeterBaggins . Uncleat my right leg, use toe push slight at 11 o'clock, slow pedal on left leg. Steep 2, stop the bike push down . That's no way for me to bring up by not stopping, but i only use this system for climb , so no need to swap if not necessary. I only swap for stiff hill.

this crank will scratch rear triangle when folding your bike, because that spider holding the chainring is too thick.

It’s a Brompton design issue, the chain tends to fall off when unfolding as the front derailleur will knock it out of place while folded
