Brompton Vs Another Very Steep Hill

Paul attempts cycling up Constitution Hill in Bristol which is a 1:6 over 40 vertical meters. Not as steep as our previous video but a long consistent climb!

Just for fun - our fun - do it again on a bike with those big wheels but with the same ratio / gear inches number. I’m fairly sure it will be exactly the same effort with the pedals doing the same revolutions for the same crawling speed; the only difference being the bike wheels going around more slowly.

We are planning to do the Vale St one from our last steep video on the road bike. I think one of the main differences will actually be the geometry and shape of the bike 🤔 and this is what we will find out I guess!

I admire you brompton enthusiast and if i ever need to use a train to commute i'll buy myself one. But the 20 inch dahon i had before was the worst bycicle going up hill. Everything flexed and shifted. Compact enough but slow. Cheers
