Hells Revenge isn't exactly a super challenging trail. All the big obstacles have easy ways around. My 93 Yota did that trail 9 years ago, bone stock, with 360K miles on the original 3.0.

They are a lot more capable than what people think. Even the basic big bend is surprising. They’re not hard-core if you want that save your money and get the big one. If you want something that has pretty good road manners and a nice ride. I can also handle some off Roading to get to your favorite fishing spot or camping area the Bronco sport can get you there.

Sure, seems great at just under $30K. You’re not getting what you see for that price though. Any of these worth having are over $40K, and the one in this video is more like $60K. And for what? Nostalgia? You can find an old Bronco for $5k and dump 20 grand into it to make an absolute beast rock crawler, and you have still spent less than half of what this weird thing costs.

@@MOTO809 5k for a bronco? Let me know what area, I'd love to get my hands on a Bronco 2 and make it an Off-road only vehicle
@Sethgolas2 жыл бұрын
@@MOTO809 There's no BS trim for 60K. If you max it out with all the dumb crap, you can get it to just 40K, but the Badlands trim starts at mid 30s after all the fees and whatnot. It's not going to compete performance wise with a dedicated rock crawler, even at the same price. But that's not really what it is. It's a highly livable vehicle that can be daily driven, gets acceptable gas mileage, is small enough to park easily in the city, and has pretty great capability on top of that. It'd be dumb as a dedicated trail crawler, but for people who want to get to recreational sites with really tough approaches, but don't have the space for a dedicated vehicle this works out pretty well.

I tell everyone this. Off-road capability is mainly ground clearance and confidence. Most everything else follows those two. I took a Fiat 500x with a 4" lift places wranglers turned around. I had the clearance and turned the confidence up to 11. That'll get you through most trails and situations 🤘
@timberlinecline36673 жыл бұрын
Bull shitt
@AntiATF3 жыл бұрын
@@timberlinecline3667 literally no bullshit lol. Awd and ground clearance will take you everywhere. The 500x is nothing more than a Renegade with a different body, and look at videos of where people take those. Hell, the lift kit was a Renegade lift kit lmao. Obviously it's nowhere NEAR as capable as a Wrangler or basically any body on frame awd/4wd vehicle, but people put too much importance on offroad features and suspension and not enough on tire placement and just straight up sending it. I helped a new guy in a lifted tacoma that didn't think he could make it up these large rock steps. All I had to do was show him that a Fiat crossover could do it and boom, confidence boost and he went through the whole line. You don't need crazy flex or power. You need the clearance to get over it, and the confidence and momentum to go through it.

Hi!! I just got my Badlands sports, and I was thinking of buying a set of tires that would allow for more interesting off roading. I see you guys didnt bother trying to match the factory tire size when picking a new model and just replaced the wheels so you could actually have a decent selection or brand and threads. The setup you used is clearly wider and bigger than what you get on the truck so my question is; how did you figure out what tire size can be installed on the Badlands so you wouldn't have any wheel clearance issues or even drivetrain problems (if its a thing)? :) I mean, besides the lift kit. I might not not a whole lot about off roading, but I know enough to know that trying to get that info from Ford...or the dealer, is a total waste of time. hehe
