not really; with over 300 rounds of professional experience, why in fucks name would you raise your hand like that in the middle of a bout??? a championship bout too (for Theophane anyway) if you wanna complain that you got hit low, point to that area and make sure the ref sees what you're pointing at.. or if you're hurt from actual punches take a knee and then explain that you got hit low. you can't get rocked by good clean punches, get hit with a low low that the ref may not have seen, raise your glove up to the ref while you're backing up, and expect him not to stop the fight tbh. Ashley Theophane has nobody but himself to blame for that tbh. regardless though, even if that didn't happen i think adrien would have stopped him anyways. there was still a while left in that round too. all in all, the fight seems like it was rushed and shit. but yeah

give him a break man, the guy on the ropes is already hurt. so he's got to keep a close eye on how he's doing, and the kind of facial expressions he's giving to tell whether to stop a fight or not. besides, when Broner throws with mean intentions his flurries can be very fast and hard to see. we only it as low because of the camera angle but the ref probably couldn't pick up on that in the heat of the moment when a fighter looks like he's about to go lool
