I don't think the people reading & writing the comments realize how hard it is to fight a guy like Shawn Porter who is constantly attacking & applying pressure. I just watched 2 other fights with him, everyone i saw including Errol Spence Jr had to grab him. He is a very tough & gritty fighter , expecting people to not grab is kind of unrealistic

@watts1113 ай бұрын
Agreed. There was a sequence where every time Porter lunged in, Broner clocked him with a left hook. Then, for some reason, Broner went back to clinching/bicycling, and, even with that wicked left hook knockdown, still lost. And he should have lost. This isn't peloton.

"beverly rose 'blow jobs for trump He combined it with other things, especially quick foot movement spurts, bringing it to a level at which he was almost un-hittable. The shoulder roll used to be strictly for flat footed fighters who didn't WANT to move. FMJ changed that entirely and made it work better than anyone else in the history of the sport has been able to so far. Just what it is.
@christophertelesford75796 жыл бұрын
Shawn was definitely not trying to let Broner think for not one second, he was just being aggressive and putting pressure on him by just throwing a bunch of wild punches at Broner and Broner fell right into it, instead of being defensive and countering Shawn with some body shots to wear him out. Shawn had complete control over this fight.
@AnAdorableWombat Жыл бұрын
That's how Tyson fought. He just charged at you...like Balrog lol
@christophertelesford7579 Жыл бұрын
@@AnAdorableWombat Oh yeah, the peekaboo style allowed him to slip, bob and weave towards his opponent.
@@AnAdorableWombat That’s a very casual way of looking at it. Tyson was way more methodical and far cleaner with his offense. Porter here just looked sloppy when doing it. And I don’t like to shit talk boxers who put in the work, but its very clear by just looking at Porter’s performance here. It’s all good he’s improved after this fight a lot.
@jesuspernia8031 Жыл бұрын
Exactly. I really think if Broner wasn’t trying so hard to mimic Floyd he definitely would have had this fight. Because he has WAY better fundamentals and cleaner movement than Porter up to this point. But Porter actually had a game plan and stuck to it. Even though there was a skill gap, Porter closed it by sticking to the plan.

I don't care he lost just wish he'd not take drugs and fuck his health cause he got talent that need to be mastered. He can be as good as mayweather if he was as determined and serious in the gym. He's the funniest boxer if seen even more than mayweather. It be real sad to seem him become an b ranked fighter because no one does funny entrances like this man. Watched this video after viewing Broner’s fight against Pacquiao. He sure has quick hands and the skills, but the heart and mindset of a true warrior is missing. He relies too much on his dirty tactics to create an advantage over his opponent before letting go of his hands. But against elite fighters, those windows are hard to come by.

I would love if there was a bigger fan culture around boxing in the states. Look at hatton vs Mayweather. You could only hear the british fans. And they stood by their fighter after he lost. Would be amazing if the americans could do similar things, but they usually throw their fighters under the bus when they lose

...is a MUST when fighting porter. Nobody but spence jr MIGHT be able to beat porter without it. Everybody talking bout Broner not letting his hands go .... why don t y all look at how this guy backed up Porter for almost the whole fight and just standing and outboxing Porter in the middle of the ring. Maybe only Ugas and Kell Brook managed to tame Porter’s uneffective agressiveness. Broner was in control of every round untill the end. Even gave Porter his first official knockdown. People just like to hate on AB. Yes he’s a clown, but this boi can box. He tagged Porter every round with a few good shots. But commentators were biased not mentioning when Broner was landing. @@raulratonmacias1377 It wasn’t easy mainly because AB actually has better fundamentals. Porter looked sloppy as hell. But the thing is Porter had a good game plan while AB had a shit game plan. AB should have stopped trying to mimic Floyd and just boxed regularly.
@raulratonmacias1377 Жыл бұрын
@@jesuspernia8031 I agree. AB is trying his hard to mimic Floyd than to fight his real style. And that's actually sad because AB had such tremendous potential to be an all time greats boxer. Easy, too early success makes him contented and stop from growing. Honestly, this what's happening to most boxers today. Modern day boxers had so many talents that failed to achieve their full potential because they reach success much easier than boxers before. Today, with just right connection, a boxer can fight for a world title even with just 2 fights on his resume. So, the fire usually dies before it's even get bigger. So that's why they tend to focus on making more money than honing their craft.

Carl Allen cause he did....also Porter fought this at a catch weight..yeah Al Haymon killed it later on but by then team Porter was already shooting for the 144 limit. Shawn although short used to be a football player so he's sort of swoll for a welterweight. Making 147 is tough enough[he literally had to remove all of his clothingin the brook bout to make weight. So he dominated Broner while being weight drained. Porter isn't the best fighter in the world but he's definitely a class above adrien broner.
@MuddyVision_8 жыл бұрын
Antimatter ThreeThou he domintated as in winning every round not by kicking his ass. Porter most definetly earned the victory he out worked broner and threw more punches. Broner thought he was floyd he tried to pot shit to a victory lol, Broner little ass dropped Porter with a hook he has no power. Everyone was saying it was a off balanced flash knockdown but i couldnt tell by how porter was clinching in the 12th round. And whats annoyin is porter wasnt drained he said it him self. Common Knowledge casual fans see its a catch weight and they automatically assume the man in the higher weight class is gonna be drained it's stupid. Isaw the same porter that was in the Kell Brook fighter he just looked alot better because he was in there with someone a little less skilled
@AntiMatter30008 жыл бұрын
1.) they're the same weight class[welterweight] There should not have been a catchweight to begin with. 2.) Broner is taller and is a pretty good sized welterweight at '5'7 with a fight night weight of around 155.
@MuddyVision_8 жыл бұрын
1.) 140 and 147 are two different divisions. Broner fought at 140 in his last 3 fights before porter been fighting at 147 his whole career 2.) broner is a shitty welterweight he only fought at welter twice and looked like shit in both fights and height means nothing
