So... we as a family... in the My Little Pony fandom, including the staff at Hasbro, has decided that this generation must come to an end with a new one beginning. It's been an absolute FANTASTIC journey with all of you. Next year, is going to bring a lot of emotions. We know this. Sadness, happiness, pride, love, anything you can think of, but just because the it's over physically, it's not over mentally. We will continue to think out new ideas, new stories, anything for the mane six to explore. And in doing so, it's going to bring the fandom together, One. Last. Time. The show has been going on for 8 years. 9 years next year. And with that, we must say goodbye to our favorite ponies we've known and loved over these past 9 years. This journey, again, has been incredible, and I'm so proud of our fandom as a whole for creating so much more than just a 'kids show'. I'm so proud of how far we've come as a family. Come on! Who said that the fandom must end after the show is wrapped up? Nopony! When my favourite creations (game franchises, TV series or books) release their final episode, I would never look at them as somehing done for, something that should be left, but rather a complete product that I can celebrate in its full glory. You're never complied to stop caring about FiM after it's ended. You can always care. You can always celebrate. You can always create. You can always continue.

I wish I had the words to describe how I feel. This past year has gotten me involved and dedicated to this fandom than I have to anything in the past. I reached out with my talents and helped in small ways, whether in music tips, mediating on twitter or in my own projects, many of those actions I know will never be appreciated. And to see so many people losing hope is disappointing to me, seeing as the show and its fans continue to make flowers like my own bloom even during the fires of fear. This fandom has so much more power than we give it crefit for. I recently just watched the finale of Timeless, a show with a small but passionate fanbase that revived the show even after 2 cancellations. We are a fandom of more, producing and being more vocal than many other fandoms before. We will survive because we are dedicated. We are sharp. We have hope and have kept it even as others rebuke us. We have strength as long as we believe in our efforts. This complilation shows our strength. Let us be as @Thornwing or rather Scott Kinserly said at the conclusion of CMPC. Let our flame never die, us being Ambassadors of Friendship to the world. Even if some of us choose to lay down our arms, let the light of what we have learned shine from us all. We as a fandom will never die because the light of friendship is within us all. The fandom is not an entity separate from our own minds. We are the fandom. As we live, it lives in us. I know its late for me to say this but I want the MLP to continue even I just started liking it and I just went Happy gone Sad when I just realized the MLP season is already over and the Bronycon 2019 is going to be the last one, I haven't even gone to a single convention of bronycon, this is way too sad knowing that I cant go abroad only for this convention. There are two so FREAKING ridiculous things about this video: ONE: That it has LESS THAN 10K VIEWS! What the hay, gentlemen, everypony MUST see this!!! TWO!: It took me 6 WHOLE DAYS to get myself together to watch this glorious peace of brony history. Unexcusable. Even by the Christmas holidays period. But now more seriously, next year, next compliation and next tear-up for me. This is the second one I can relate to personally, as I joined the fandom much later than anypony else, but darn, is it a good ride! Although, *if* those leaked concept arts are correct, it looks like they're gonna be reusing the Mane Six in a different way. Granted, some of the Mane Six was even in previous generations and was revamped, etc.

Andrew B No offense, but where did you see that confirmation? Also, it seems as though they've moved production to a different studio, so maybe it's just the last season Hasbro will be involved. I've also seen that the movie will be considered as G4.5, so maybe that's the animation style to be used later on; everything will simply follow the G4 canon.

I know the video hasn't released yet, but I wanted to make this post regardless. 2018 in no uncertain terms has been an unnaturally terrible year all around. While their have been plenty of good things that have occurred in this fandom this year, there have been just as many bad things. So many conventions closing down, so much drama, scumbags like ToonKritic and Dusky Novel being exposed for who they are, and an uncertain future have left a bad taste in the mouth of a lot of people here. I want to say that the brony fandom will be okay, we'll survive, we'll be okay. Even after the show ends this fandom will still be going strong. Even with the coming closure of BronyCon we'll be okay. I love this fandom, even with its cringe, flaws and all, I still love it. Here's to a better 2019.

I’m not really active in the fandom and I most just have been watching the show, the community and commenting were I can, but you would not believe how much I needed this right now. No one with me thinks or wants to help me get to BronyCon 2019 and I was starting to have my doubts, I’m just a freshman with no job and this is something that will only last a year, but being here for almost a year now seeing the happy community here, it’s better than any other fandom. Your right, we will last forever, we are a part of history we are the ones that changed peoples ideas on what it’s like when you grow up. You don’t you can stay a kid for as long as you like and still grow up physical. I will see you at BronyCon. I’ll do what ever it takes to get there. I don’t know what’s it like, how I’ll ever get there, or if it is really just some big colt, but I believe from all that I’ve seen that I should give it my best to make it to this last BronyCon. I have no idea whether it will end at all, but it has certainly left behind a legacy and a fandom. Elvis Presley said something along the lines of, "You die twice: once when you cease to live and once when everyone stops talking about you." Judging by this and the fact that some people are still making G3 fanfics, it will probably live on for a long time. There are rumors that it's all going to end after season 9, but people have spread similar rumors after earlier seasons. I don't know who made the "G5 leaks", but I'm not sure whether or not they are official.

Ya know, I may rarely be seen in this fandom anymore, mostly because I moved on to other fandoms such as Voltron:Legendary Defender, I may not read the fnfics anymore, or watch the fanvideos, or even really look at the fanart, but My Little Pony:Friendship Is Magic will always, _always_ have a _very_ special, everlasting place in my heart. :). ☺.

We have come a long way, haven't we? And to think, I never would have been a part of this wonderful fandom if I hadn't remembered my roots and watched the first episode of the first season all those years ago. You see, when I was younger, my parents got me a Gen. 3 MLP game for my computer (I still have it to this day). Sure, things were different back then and I didn't really watch the show, but if I had not seen the very first episode of the new generation when it aired on Treehouse for the very first time, I never have met such awesome, creative, proactive, imaginative, motivational, inspirational, and respectful people that were meant to be part of both my life and my personality. MLP has changed my life, as well as so many others, in ways no one can really understand. You know that whenever you meet a fellow brony/pegasister, you know you'll both be on level ground just because of the fact you both love the show. While being part of this fandom is like being part of a united nation, I, myself, have found an alliance within the Brony Community that I can come to look to when I need to be reminded what I am fighting for. The New Lunar Rupublic. Since Luna is my favourite princess, the NLR is the perfect coalition that I can look to to help me set my mind straight and my focus on task so I don't deviate from who I am. I salute and honour those that have fallen, both from great heights and from Earth, both within and without the NLR. Kitty0706, someone Markiplier knew, everyone. Like the entire world looking at Vimy Ridge and remembering what we Canadians did for the world in both world wars, I look to those with such smiling, beautiful faces, and are reminded that thses are who I fight for. Not for money, not for bedmates, fame, glory, or power. All I care about is everyone that I can affect, influence, and touch. Friends, acquaintances, fellow community members, they all matter to me. If I were to lead the charge in a war, I'd follow in the footsteps of those that inspire me to fight and die by my friends and fellow fans. My honour will never allow me to watch as those great community comes burning down, either from within or broken down from the outside. My patronage is to my fellow bronies and pegasisters. And if you've got a problem with that, then you can shove it where the sun don't shine. I stand by my word as a brony. Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye. And that's a promise!!!

The Brony fandom is not just a regular fandom/community, is family. A big strong family that'll never stop to shine, no matter what. We have passed it all, in both bad and good luck. *TOGETHER.* And despite everything, we're still here united as never, ready for any eventuality to come. I don't recall other fandoms/communities to have made as much news as we did (again, both good and bad ones). We sure had a hay of a journey, but the journey here, has just begun! It's been quite a year, hasn't it? I can say without a doubt that the brony fandom is the best community I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of, and personally I hope to become more active as a brony myself and contribute creatively to the surplus of already existing art. It warms my heart to see this fandom still kicking almost a decade later, and with G5 on the horizon I can see a huge new wave of members and content to come with it. Here's to a new year. :)

It‘s really amazing to see where we are now. From being mocked on every single corner of the internet to a staple of pop-culture, even setting an example of how to defy a gender stereotype. All the friendships forged, lessons learned from the show, and fan arts that thousands of fans created, I am really proud of where we are. Though 2018 has been a harsh year with many cons shutting down and so many people leaving fandom, I am still proud to be part of the fandom, and most importantly, being part of the history.

I've been in this fandom since the beginning, but sorta moved to other fandoms during season 5/6 but I still support it. And look how far this fandom had come to. Whoever, wherever you bronies/ pegasisters(is that how you spell it) are, thank you for the wonderful journey, may we still live on. I will really miss Mlp fim. May it rest in peace in cartoon heaven, the place where all the best shows with the best fandom anyone could ask for are. May 2019 be a good year more us all and may season 9 have the best endings of endings. To be continued in the next chapter of Mlp, gen 5 (whatever the name is gonna be), with a new fandom, new ships, new ponies, new adventures and a whole new beginning
