Lavar Ball literally advised Bronny to play in Australia instead of college because playing against grown men in a pro league is better development and Bronny and his camp (that includes Rich) ignored the advice. -- bronny could be a nice kid, but as a player, probably a G-leaguer at best. It sucks that his name carries so much weight while a father who is actively playing and earning $50M/year. Nepotism happens (Giannis' brother is a perfect example), I get it. It just sucks that this kid gets so much coverage.
@jennyanydots2389
@jennyanydots2389 3 ай бұрын
@@jlui21 The thing about Giannis' brothers is that they at least have size, they are all 6 foot 8 at least and can and do fill a role off the bench. Bronny doesn't offer anything, there is no reason for him to be there other than his name. A 6 foot 1 guard who can't shoot or pass or defend anyone bigger than him... well, there was a reason he averaged less than 5 pts a game on a bad college team. The kid doesn't even have the excuse of size to be there... and Giannis brother wasn't the reason Giannis plays there... for Bronny, he is probably the only reason Lebron stayed with the Lakers. People don't like that, at the end of the day this is an entertainment industry and Lebron just cemented his status as the "villain" in his story. A career full of narcissistic behavior, whining entitlement and flopping... over and over and over... flopping. Players like Lebron and his kid are one of the many reasons why attendence and ratings are in the toilet for the NBA.
@jlui21
@jlui21 3 ай бұрын
@@jennyanydots2389 -- lol, i agree. Watching Giannis' brother is pretty bad, lol. He isn't the brightest or skilled but winning 1 chip, I could give it to the Bucks for keeping him. Drafting Lebron's son at 55th pick is not a total waste b/c that late in the draft carries almost a zero percent success rate. Would I have drafted him? Absolutely not. Nepotism is everywhere: basketball, politics, corporate offices, etc. The worst thing is the media attention. I'd G-league him and maybe let him run on 10 day contracts. He should get cut (even guys like Adam Morrison, Anthony Bennet, Jimmer Ferdette -- all pretty highly drafted and were total garbage).

The other thing is, they keep using that straw man, saying that the critics expect him to play like a number 1 pick. That has never been the criticism from anyone. In fact the only ppl comparing him to Top 10 picks are the ppl caping for him. They keep comparing him to players who earned their pick in the draft. I think Klutch Sports is just worried someone will do a deep dive into their athletes getting undeserved contracts. They represented the 58th pick last year and his college numbers were not very impressive either. Granted they were matter than Bronny's and he is taller than Bronny and he had a better Summer League than Bronny. But he also got a 4 year deal and he also happens to be from Akron and his scouting report mentions that he was mentored by LeBron James. Meanwhile the 55th pick of last year did much better than Bronny and last years 58th and only got a 2 way.

Of course Rich Paul's ridiculous opinions on college basketball would make sense to him and LeBron because both skipped college, they wouldn't know the grind and dedication a college player puts into not only to boost your stock for the Pros but also help your college team win in the process.

The NBA need to make it mandatory 3years in college before entering the draft or 3 years overseas. To think going pro after you freshman year of things not going your way is ridiculous lol. This why the league is water down because players have skill but not strategic with it, can't even create systems around these guys.

We should be honest and admit that Bronny's last summer league game was actually pretty decent. However, it remains to be seen whether Bronny can play at that level with any consistency, and if he fails to do so, people will keep pointing to this one decent game instead of accepting the fact that he's not an NBA player.

He doesn't spot talent, players sign because it's Lefraud. Lefraud just brought his biggest Stan with him, to help solidify his fraudulent career. He really needs to stfu, he has no idea of what he's talking about.

Rich Paul is such a terrible agent like holy fuck. I don't understand how players keep trusting this bum. It cost so many players great contracts like he did to Gary Trent Jr. I seriously question the integrity and actual qualifications of this guy. Imagine being a agent for a player who always get a max offer without having to negotiate. If we look at his track record he's pretty bad. Neslem Noel Jr Gary Trent Jr Shabazz Muhammad Bledsoe Killed Tristan Thompson career Cost AD money KCP contract with Detroit Didn't got good endorsement and sponsorship and shoe deal for John Wall who was one of the most popular players on the player. Rich Paul only success were the deals for LeBron,Simmons and Wall, but those were a given deal by the franchises were his only job was to say "Yea. Ok. We take it". I can go on and on about his clients

That "explanation" he is giving is officially why NBA will go downhill faster than we think and know. Them minimizing the validity of college basketball, is not good. True, some talented players get stuck in college because of coaches and stuff, but 90% of the time is becausd of the player himself, usually from lack of discipline. And the way to know that that is the reason, is that various of those talented players in college that say that it was coaches or system fault, try to make Pro in other leagues, and they don't make it. But starting a trend of using the NBA for develop players, say goodbye.., cause Euroleague will take over (they already have in terms of pure basketball, they just need the money to flux in, will happen sooner than we think)
@EdbergTan

Hearing Rich Paul's words about "Bronny, team/the right mix, and going pro", sounds so much like Lebron's career: it's not your fault; find another organization.
