His foorwork is mid, not a great shooter, dunks are 90% tomahawks, assist may be a good one but nothing esp compared to the likes of magic, nash, etc. Defense is below the likes of mj, kobe, hakeem etc. He doesn''t even have a legit iconic signature move to be remembered. They should not be talking about inflated stats for Jordan when it comes to defending Lebron 😂. Rebounds inflated, he barely passed Jordan in total offensive rebounds recently and has averaged less per game for their careers, quite common to see his teammates clear out just to let him get the defensive board with no struggle or tip it to him and it counts as a lebron board. Assists inflated, the way they count assists now is so loose, players can take multiple dribbles and it’s still counted as an assist so many examples of lebron getting assists this way. Points inflated, this is mostly due to his era, but how many times do we see lebron drive to the basket with no contact at the rim? no 3 second call or a enforcer bigman in the paint and a defender handchecking him on the perimeter makes it incredibly easy for him to drive into empty lanes to the basket and even then if you touch him it’s a foul and free throws at the line. add on top of that how he scores most of his baskets at the rim efficiently around 60% because of this, even though his percentages from 3 feet away from the basket are below average 37%, and of course travelling calls not called on him and the overall looseness that rule has nowadays.

The funny thing is Jordan had only 23 less steals and 6 less blocks with an almost identical discrepancy the year prior. Yet, Jordan didn’t crack the top 5 in DPOY voting, nor make any All-Defensive team that year. The writer brings up MJ being irked that Michael Cooper won the DPOY while only averaging 1.0 spg and 0.5 bpg, yet leaves out the context as to why MJ wasn’t in the conversation for the DPOY that year (hint: the Bulls 40-42 record and 10th ranked defense had a lot to do with it). Historical context has never been Klutch Sports strong suit.

Boy, ohh, boy I have so much to say about this. I don't know for sure, but this "investigation" done by the Yahoo Sports journalist seems to me more like a desperate attempt to tarnish Jordan's achievements and, on that background, glorify LeBron's "successes". Does he want to "revive" the debate about who is the greatest player of all time between Michael and LeFraud? If that was the goal I have to say he didn't do a very good job. First of all, how did he choose to try to analyze based on only six games whether statisticians juiced Jordan's defensive numbers to improve his chances of winning the Defensive Player of the Year award or not. Secondly, why did this respected gentleman not bother to be fair enough to admit that the previous year this title should have been given to Michael Jordan but the one who received it was another Michael - Cooper, while Jordan was ahead of him by a significant margin in five out of six defensive categories!!! Third thing I have to say. Why don't we examine the titles and accolades of LeBalko James and I'm sure that with a unbiased look we'd probably come to conclusion that many of his statistical achievements and records are also inflated by referees not calling for steps, offensive fouls, his floppings, whistles that undeservedly benefit him to go to free throw line instead of another turnover. And some of the assists that are credited to him were actually "gifted" to him because the player he handed the ball to was the one who would have done the action that would allowed him to score. Then we would find out that the king of the records book of The NBA happens to be a one big joke.
@liumatt28745 ай бұрын
What's even more disgusting is, he uses six games that can't be found on open internet or archive, so he could literally say anything he likes, in the hopes that not many people have those tapes as well, to call him out on the BS, just think logically, using six games to justify a season of 82 games? That's like I pick any six years of someone's life to decide what kind of person he/she is, just ridiculous, those LBJ die hard fanboys and supporter are so pathetic.

If Haberstroh sees a deflection that might've been Jordan's, he doesn't know if Jordan is credited with the steal or not.. The announcer usually doesn't announce that.. That's why Haberstroh needed to count all the live ball turnovers in the game himself, and then claim that Jordan's reported steals were more than the live-ball turnovers - that's the only way to know that some of Jordan's steals were fraudulent. Accordingly, all Haberstroh did was under-count the total live-ball turnovers as he's watching the game - just skip one or two here and there - and then Jordan's steals will be more than the live-ball turnovers, so Haberstroh can claim Jordan's steals are overstated... And no one can verify Haberstroh's count of the live-ball turnovers because he got the VHS from a guy in Latvia and none of the games are on youtube.. literally. That's the whole fraud.. And history shows that the "normal" home inflation for players in prior eras was due to tougher road conditions and MUCH worse road records, while the one-offs of massive inflation for 88' MJ, 90' Hakeem and 86' Robertson is explained by any number of factors such as personal issues that affected home and road performance in that particular year.

I have 5 of the 6 games that Haberstoh allegedly watched and took the stats from. I cannot wait to watch them and prove him wrong!

I have two games from that list: January 16 and March 18. I also have home games from Dec 12 and 17, Jan 30, Feb 23 and 26, March 10. It is not hard to fish various games from the past. I mean one has to have a major vendetta to come up with the plan to find some home games, watch them to write an article on how stat counters interpret the stats. As far as I understand stat keepers are NBA people and not some backyard friends and family of Bulls players. The whole notion of going back nearly 40 years in the past and counting the stats is idiotic at best. I mean, what, you wake up one morning and think to yourself, you know, I think MJ stats were miscounted in this particular season, I just feel it...

Excellent vid. The fact that someone would bring this up right as Lebron is crying about never winning DPOY raises enough suspicion on its own. The fact that the guy used some not readily available tapes as the basis to generalize should have been called out by the media. However, we now know that most of LeMedia is "represented" by Klutch Sports aka Corrupt Sports.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. Until all of these games are available to the public....this shouldnt even be a story. The only reason it blew up is because of all of the Lebron fan boys running with this BS story. Make ALL of those Bulls home games available and if that happens, I encourage Lebron fans to watch those games. Even if the stats were inflated, after watching those games, most of yall will jump off of that LeBron train real quick and you will see what REAL GREATNESS is!!

Thank you for this video!!! Lebron fans have hit an all time low trying to diminish Jordan and somehow elevate Leflop. How about we review all the travelling violations that were not called on Lebron and then look at all the assists that have been given under the new rules where the player receiving the pass can now take 1 or even 2 dribbles???. Jordan is by far the better player so lets move on!!

Remember when Chris Broussard asked Tom Haberstroh when they stopped cooking the books? He said when Adam Silver took over. That occurred in 2014. Your video evidence of Jordan's steals in 1997 points even further to how much of a liar Tom is. And I wanna see this Latvian guy's recordings. Someone who works in the media should know how to transfer from VHS to digital. So why didn't Tommy boy do that and let the public verify his claims?? 🤔

Just as I thought it couldn't get any more pathetic and desperate, Lebron and his team really out here picking out some 80s games to say Jordan didn't really get those steals! 😂😂 Seems fake as heck. Yet many of Lebron's assists aren't even true assists - just the league handing out some assists here and there.

If he did this in 1997, I can only imagine what he did in 1987-1988. Not to mention he scoring stats.
@Celestial_Souljah5 ай бұрын
Just my opinion, but I've always thought the way they count steals is kinda stupid. The person that dislodges the ball from the defender is supposed to get all the credit for the steal. I think the person that dislodges should get half and the person that collects should get half. Obviously, if a player does both or just straight takes the ball away, then they get all of the steal. Reason being is that a steal isn't a steal without somebody on the defense collecting the ball. Think about all the times a defender has stripped a player but the ball went out of bounds or was recovered by a player on the offense. From a defensive standpoint, the defender didn't do anything better in that case versus when the ball is collected by a teammate, yet one is counted as a steal and the other isn't. So, if collection of the ball by the offense is required for a steal to be counted, then the collector should get credit for that. A lot of the "inflated steals" that people are counting against Jordan are cases where someone else dislodged the ball and Jordan collected. It's 100% true that the person that dislodged the ball should have gotten credit, but how is it a knock against MJ that he was the one that hustled to collect the ball? He was still part of the defensive play. That's true even by the current rule for counting steals. Maybe MJ's numbers were higher than they should have been, but he was still a presence on the defense and still doing his job, so how does this discredit him in any way? It doesn't
@theflyingkaramazovbrothers65 ай бұрын
and even if steals are not justly accounted for, Jordan is still being credited like everyone else. And no doubt if he dislodges a ball occasionally, someone else is getting credit for the steal if they collect it. The one play I saw early in this video, Jordan dislodges, jumps out of bounds, collects in both hands and does a legitimate pass to a teammate.
@ant46135 ай бұрын
I can't believe we're actually at a point where we're grasping at any little thing we possibly can to discredit Jordan that we're suddenly acting like players don't play better at home than on the road and this hasn't happened for the entirety of sports history.
