In this famous chess game Soviet GM David Bronstein crushes Serbian GM Ljubomir Ljubojevic by choosing the Four Pawns Attack against Alekhine defense. Just from the opening Bronstein manages to organize a dangerous attack and by sacrificing both rooks destroys Black's king-side! For this game Bronstein received a "brilliancy prize" from American chess maecenas Isidor Turover two magnum bottles of the finest French champagne. In the end of the video as usual you can solve the daily puzzle which is also taken from David Bronstein's game!

Except that black isn't forced to take the rook with the queen on move 2. Black can play 2... Kd7 instead of taking, and prolong the mate for 17 moves more.

We are asked to show a winning line for White, not for a checkmate. 1. Rc8 Kd7 2. RxQ R(1)xR 3. Qxf7+ Kc8 4. Qxe6 White is up a Q for a R; pawns are now equal (5 each) but White has a passed pawn (e5); White is for choice.

Third comment and the puzzle: simply 1. Rc8 pinning the queen and also there is no defence against checkmate whatever black plays and offcourse if black plays 1.bishop takes c8 then the rook is no longer defending the queen and simply 2.Queen takes queen on d8 check mate and if 1.Rxc8 then 2.rxc8 and there is no defence against checkmate
@witnessazir5693

Im pretty sure not only r c8 works but also a4 ! Haha This is more of a material an positional play though than a fast win. After the logical trade of queens and b x f6 we should end up with black saving his knight and our rook can infiltrate the 7th rank. With the kingside locked up and black king beig stuck on the 8th rank and blacks pieces on inactive squares (r a8) whites rooks can force a position of zugzwang or can create windmill tactis with the weak dark squares on d8 and e7. In both cases black should lose a lot of material quickly if not ger checkmated

First , white is playing Rc8. Now black has three options: If Queen takes c8 > Queen e1 is checkmate If bishop takes c8> Queen d1 iş checkmate And if rook takes c8 then rook takes c8. There is no way to avoid the checkmate on d1 and e2
