Quit working on mechanics and start working on defense, shot consistency, dribbling (the only mechanic you NEED) and of course the most important one of them all that every plat lacks incredibly: rotation and rotation speed. It really helps if you have someone to play with that’s a higher rank bc it’ll increase your speed a lot faster than normal, you’ll start to rotate a lot better and you’ll learn smarter ways to do things. Getting out of plat is much easier than people think, they just aren’t focusing on the most important things to improving as a player.

Just got to D1 and I'm realizing more and more that I need to demo consistently, it helps relieve the anxiety of your teammates as it gives them time to recover after a save or a difficult corner defense play. Also, blocking and bumping are really important as I rank up. Knowing what your teammates are doing and paving the way for them to score, or to stall the opponent long enough for your teammates to back you up after you mess up on a play. Crucial stuff. Thanks for the video!
@clum64782 жыл бұрын
Going for demos will put you at of position for the play and out of rotation. At high ranks you usually can only get demos of you or your opponent are out of position already.

Your "watching and predicting plays" tip literally got me out of diamond. I used to just position where I thought I should be, and then reacted to their touch, but now I'm much better at seeing the play before it happens and reacting accordingly. I definitely watch the ball way less than before. Definitely a great tip, and something everyone should take seriously. I know it seems trivial but so many players get fixated on the ball and the rules of rotation instead of being aware and using common sense to make your decisions. Rotations are just a guide but at the end of the day it's up to you to make the right play

I think the most important thing about GC is consistancy. I notice on my off days I play very inconsistent, miss shots that I usually hit and derank as a result. But on normal and good days consistancy carries like crazy. This way you can win by letting the opponent make mistakes, because you barely make any. I only win by being consistant and sometimes outplay.

Advice to people climbing up, that helped me would be to train smarter, reduce the time played as well. I retain allot of more in my head on my training and feel I learn so much quicker. For me, platinum is the hardest to break out of. Plat 1 is the beginning journey of platinum, still edging on low-level gold skill. Plat 2 is a mix of people who play like Silvers and some who play like diamonds. And then plat 3 feels like you've just eaten a sandwich 3 times larger than your stomach, and I see several champs even fitting in here. It's a long stretch, but you're never really out of plat until you hit about diamond 2

I actually did the same sort of thing, but it took a lot more time, like about 14 months. I've got like 1400-1500 hours at this point and I'm comfortable in low gc, it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who just grinded this game without knowing why and got gc in a relatively short amount of time.

this is actually exactly how i felt, what was needed to defeat the next rank. and what i still say when playing with lower ranked players the biggest game changer is and always will be team based posession. you saying that c2's are high tier plats is extremely accurate. i would personally sum it all up like this. Bronze - Play more Silver - Play more Gold - Play more Platinum - less aerial focus and more ground play Diamond - Diamond 1-2 stopping the ballchase (rotating out after a hit), low risk aerials Diamond 3- same as diamond 1-2 but faster, Champion Champion 1 - Defense, boomers, angled shots(not shooting straight) Champion 2 - accuracy on every touch high champ 2 awareness of players, ball, position, and reason. Champion 3 - fixing everything that got overlooked, mastering the fundamentals, most common missed fundamentals are: Ballcontroll, Aim, Defense, rotation mistakes. low champ 3, CLEARING THE BALL (but now correctly),boost awareness, leaving options open, aerial ball control, air dribbles, positioning, (game sense) there is no high champ 3, its a border for sure, but at some point there will be the streak that puts players in gc for the first time. obviously thats really condensed, but this is what the rank is missing, to go on and get the next (usually) example, champ 2 lack the accuracy of champ 3 so there will literally be a wall that cannot be broken down unless a player reaches the average accuracy of a champ 3 player. and champ 3s lack clearing ability of low gc's so a gc, will pretty much always be able to punish those weak clears, and apply more pressure therefore increasing winning chances. the higher you go up in MMR the less it is that the reason of not proceeding are based on mechanical errors. gl ranking up
