First and foremost, another dope video. Second, I have to say I like that Brook is a support character who’s main strength is his speed and utility. Too often we see people assume speed feat = power scaling but that’s not the case. Characters get speed blitZ a lot doesn’t make them weak.

I think Oda is struggling to show their increase in strength equally. E.g. Franky radical beam is cool, but is he going to get a power-up this current arc? Brook obviously didn't learn any Haki, hence why he can't hurt Big Mom. I'm just a bit disappointed, especially Usopp, he has all these pop-green stuff, but he hasn't done anything cool since Dressrosa. It's kinda a shame.

maybe you need a body to use. it is like the opposite of brook himself. living people are using their soul as a weapon, while brooks soul is using his body as one. i mean thats my logic of why brook is seemingly incapable of using haki. also brook seems to be the jack of all trades master of none member outside of music. kinda like sylvando from dragon quest 11. both of them has their charm as part of their appeal not so much of combat prowess even though they aren't a slouch.

To be fair the reason Brook didn't do crap to Big Mom externally is because he used a piercing-attack with his sword and Big Mom is known for having really tough skin. Nami used lightning which negates durability. Plus, not like it's relevant but like you said, Nami did that at the end of WC, Brook didn't, power gets increased at/after the end. Also, Brook's power level is way higher than what was shown in Whole Cake, he has serious potential in being able to blitz people as he is the fastest Straw Hat and blitzed an enraged Big Mom with homies (the best SH speed feat shared only with Zoro blitzing Hybrid Kaido but that was with Ashura and Brook does everything in base), being able to negate durability on an entirely different level, being very skillful and battle-smart, and being able to mind-control people by moving their soul.

I’m pretty late to this, but hey, better late than never. Sea prism handcuffs won’t kill him. Sea prism simulates the effects of the ocean on devil fruit users, and Brook has been fully submerged in the ocean and hasn’t passed on. The prime example of this was during fishman aisle after Hoardy defeated Zoro. Two of Hoardy’s crew pulled out Brook’s skeleton from the water and he proceeded to chase them, so yeah he was completely submerged. Honestly I don’t even know if he can drown. The ocean weakens a devil fruit user, it doesn’t stop your powers altogether. Case in point, Luffy’s fight with Arlong pirates. Luffy got stuck at the bottom of the pool and villagers kept him alive by stretching his head above the surface. And if you can naturally breathe underwater, you won’t drown, you just wouldn’t be able to move. We see this happen to Jack after Zou.
