⁠@@emilyfarley1525yeah they were supposed to be endgame it was the fact that chad made the biggest mistake of his life and cheated on his fiancé before he asked her to marry him then they got married then 3 months she found out but didn’t know if it was true until the 5 month mark I hate chad for ever doing that idk why he did that cause in all the interviews and BTS stuff you can clearly see and tell how much she meant to him and how much he loved her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her he legit said she’s the love of my life and the girl I wanna spend the rest of my life with and she’s the girl of my dreams etc why would you say those things and then go ahead and break Sophia’s heart it took her months to get over it she cried for months before moving on and getting over it but deep down they will always and forever have each other in their heart as much as she doesn’t want him there they will always love each other since both of them were their first everything boyfriend/girlfriend, fiancé, wife/husband etc so it’s really hard to replace your first and idk if it’s just me or if anyone else feels this also I LOVE SOPHIA but I feel like she isn’t happy with grant Hughes like she was with chad please don’t flame me or take it out on me I’m just saying imo I know it has been like 16-17 years now since they divorced but they were their firsts and maybe just maybe somehow they will find their way back to each other and honestly I overheard Sophia and this was when they were engaged and such anyway I overheard her saying that she was “trying” to have a baby with chad and start their family, now you understand how much he hurt her and how badly her heart broke after those rumors were proven true she went back to her parents place and cried for months and couldn’t stop cause that’s how much he meant to her she loved him and didn’t see a future with any other guy but chad she wanted the world with him and yes we have saw those videos on youtube parading around saying that she admitted that she never wanted to marry chad but all those videos and rumors aren’t true they’re only saying that and not directly hearing it from sophia cause they’re defending her which is everybody here since we hate chad I mean just imagine them married starting a family being in love etc JUST IMAGINE if I was chad I would never let any woman get close to me if I was engaged to Sophia cause I mean just look at her and chad was chosen as the sexiest and hottest actor I mean no denial there really and if anyone saids otherwise they are lying to themselves lol I’m a dude too lol and I wish I was chad

They weren't supposed to be, Mark said that “From the pilot, we designed a world where Peyton and Lucas were meant to be together”. The world was designed specifically for Peyton and Lucas, plus you can tell just by the first few episodes. He only really got together with Brooke after Peyton said she didn't want anything. While I like Brooke and Lucas, she could of spared her own heartbreak if she had just left Lucas alone.

I was always a chad supporter but now staying back 16 years ago when they were in engaged and then married I hated him cause I never expected him to cheat on Sophia ever since both of them were their firsts everything first boyfriend/girlfriend, fiancé, wife/husband etc and I mean the love between them were clearly there both of them loved eachother so endlessly but when I heard back 16 years ago I thought no way since chad said all those loving things about Sophia saying she’s the girl for me and that when he was doing his whole proposal to her he was buying the 500 candles and said “i don’t care if it costs money, she’s worth it”, and on the talk shows interviews saying she’s intelligent smart awesome and she makes me happy and more of course and the fact that they went to all of each others interviews always smiling back at each other etc. I wish for them to get back together I won’t stop praying and hoping I know she moved on and now is married to Grant Hughes but I’m just gonna say this imo idk if any of you will agree but I feel like she isn’t happy with him as she was with chad I mean it’s hard to replace your first everything and she was the most happiest then

t's sad to think that they would probably be endgame if it wasn't for the divorce in real life, in the first season Lucas really only had eyes for Payton, and his relationship with Brooke was misguided, but from the second when he realizes the amazing person he had and let slip is so well built, and in the third when they finally come back, He made it clear that he loved her and that he wouldn't love her, and we saw that he really was in love with him and he and Paytom were just friends.Then the divorce in real life, and they had to come back with this arc with Payton that was already forgotten, and all that love that he had disappeared so quickly, it makes me feel so bad

The show basically organised for Lucas in first 6 season and always people tried to show he was a good guy, but we, I mean fans, were aware of he was the bad guy. Nathan was wiser than his brother. Even Nathan said once to Haley that Lucas took Nathan's bad boy role. He said it used to be his role but Lucas was being a Jerk (Season 1-Episode 13)

I'm going to be honest I don't understand why anybody thinks Brooke and Lucas were the better match. The whole story was him and Peyton and they had better scenes, better chemistry, and just made since. Everybody be hating on Lucas, and I don't' know why he was low key a good guy I mean literally saved people's lives was always trying to help and was there for everyone. The only wrong thing he did was cheat on Brooke and Lindsey and that's because he was meant to be with Peyton. Some of the very best scenes are of them two and they are literally the only reason I watched the show. Season 1 was perhaps peak of the entire show, I will admit they did lose a little bit of chemistry after. If Brooke had ended up with Lucas that would've been wild the whole first six season were literally about Lucas and Peyton plus Julian is pretty cool.

I agree, Brooke & Lucas weren't that good of a pair, I sometimes enjoyed them together but her & Julian were the best match!(He was a really awesome character, for sure one of my favs in the later seasons!) As for Peyton & Lucas, I personally didn't feel the chemistry between them that much (which I know is an EXTREMELY unpopular opinion) but I 100% understand the appeal of Leyton as a couple & why they're so many people's favorite ship from the show. Another unpopular opinion, but I really liked Peyton & Jake as a couple but I get why they didn't end up working out and that she was destined from the start to be with Lucas. I wish the show would've not had Brooke be romantically linked to Lucas at all. At the start their relationship was more physical than emotion. The plot lines would have benefited from them just being great friends plus then all all the needless drama between Peyton & Brooke over a boy could have been avoided.

I really liked Jake he was one of my favorite characters, but I always wished he could have met a girl who was as cool and good natured as him (one that wasn't destined to be with Lucas)
