I know you are business partners with Danielle but it would be really good to hear more from you about BIPOC and some of her choices since you’ve been pretty silent. I don't think its right to try and have brooke apologize for someone else's actions..they are two seperate people. I know she wouldn't agree with danielle's actions. But say if my friend did something controversial I wouldnt go on my instagram and apologize for what my friend did because she has her own brain and platform. Why would I address drama that my friend is having..idk if that makes sense lol. I would want to stay out of it.

You can save locations you like in your maps app and even put them into folders! That's how I save places I find that I liked.

as a Black woman I loved how outspoken you were about BLM, supporting black businesses, and allyship. However, I’m extremely disappointed to hear that comments surrounding BIPOC/racism were censored on the gals on the go fb page. We are living in extremely tense times rn, and many of your followers (BIPOC & white) wanted to use their voices to start a conversation you seemed interested in engaging in. If you truly feel speaking about oppressive systems/racism is “negative” please stop the performative activism.

A little tip that I love. You can actually flag restaurants or places that you see on your Google maps by flagging them and what I love about that feature is if you’re ever in a new area in the city and your hungry or you want something to do you can open up your maps and it’ll show you all of the nearby places that you have flagged❤️

Late to the party, but you should get nesting tables to replace your coffee table! Then you still have plenty of table surface, but if you have people over or just need the space you can put them together. Also a lot of them have storage underneath so you can fill them with blankets extra pillows etc. and they’re still super cute

The wallpaper reminds me of a giant Himalayan pink salt rock! It's so pretty! If you don't want to buy more of the wallpaper, there are a lot of cute pattern decals on etsy! They're a lot cheaper than full wallpaper and make a room look super cute (I have little plant decals on a wall in my room and i get SO many compliments).

See I kind of disagree. Continuing to go about the podcast as if nothing happened, censoring comments, etc. is accepting that kind of behavior. Like it or not, brooke benefitted off of Danielle's followers by cohosting the podcast together and now they are a package deal when it comes to the GOTG brand. Sometimes not taking a side is taking a side.

A suggestion that is easier than painting- hang sheer curtains. You can put up a wire from one corner of the room to another and hang long sheer curtains, like the kind you get from Ikea. It adds like a layer of floaty texture and color if you choose, and then you don't have to worry about hanging pictures on that wall or repainting when you move out. Also, this may seem too "college" but if you add curtain lights behind the sheers it's fun to turn them on at night and have ambiance. If you are trying to hang pictures and don't mind putting holes in the wall, find Gorilla hooks or Hercules hooks. You can do it without your dad's help, and it only leaves one very small hole but it holds lots of weight. Everything in my entire house is hung with those hooks!

You can try and position your ikea mirror to cover the electrical thing that is on your wall, I think it could fit and you would be able to get another side table.

I'd hang a canvas to cover utility box. I'd also put a little drop leaf table/desk in same spot. Ikea makes one! A stool in kitchen by front door might also be nice. Gives a little more seating to have guests. I've also seen smaller secretary with fold down desk that would have some storage and you could use stool from kitchen.

I went to New York on vacation a few years ago and was laughing at the news when they reported caurion because of a heat wave.. it was going to reach the 90s!! It was July. We battled 107°F this year in July. I'd take New York heat over Texas heat any day. The humidity is on another level.

Okay hear the vision because your apartment is goals. Some rustic wood shelves maybe 2 or 3 above the couch and you can books on one and maybe the top one and do some gallery frames that way you can have the best of both ideas!!! Definitely look on Pinterest for some inspiration, and omg I love that you support small businesses and black owned. I think your floor length mirror would look good on the side of your spin bike or on the sliver of wall across from it (were your utility box is). Also a small side table or plant between your sofa and your bike would break up that area.

Top tip! Add a pin to cool places on google maps so when you're in an area of the city you can find somewhere you know you like or somewhere cool! I did that in London when I lived there!

I’ve lived in nyc for 4 years and one thing I’ve found really useful to do is save places I want to go in google maps! I’m always walking past places and what I do is save it in the app as Want To Go and then whenever you open maps everything is there!

sometimes i dont feel like using a grocery cart and i take a reusable bag that has a long strap and is pretty deep so I can fit a lot in and its usually easier carrying on my shoulder vs bags you have to carry with your hand :)

I know you are not done decorating but what if you moved the bar cart and had your dad build you a small container attached to the wall with one or two stool for eating. You could also use that for a desk and not take up more space in your bedroom. Also, I know it is a little bit Grandma like but what if you got one of those black shopping carts that fold up to transport your food. Whole Food sales two different bags on wheels for their groceries as well. They hold a lot.
