Maria : are we there yet? At the first pyramid head encounter you have to avoid for 3 minutes then the siren sounds and he leaves. If you keep shooting him (20+ times) he also leaves around 1:40 if you hit him with the stick he leaves even faster at 1:20. In the 2006 Silent Hill movie when the siren started to wail night has fallen and Silent Hill turned into the decaying version of it. Fun Fact : there is Centralia in USA Pennsylvania, called the real Silent Hill.

Silent Hill 2 is definitely a great horror game with a lot of jump scares but that is what I like about it have a nice Halloween Cyn.🎮🎃🎮

Maria is alright, James is the problem - and I usually take the guy's side.😅 The thing is SH's subtext is usually way more sinister than what we can see on the surface, you seen to have (or so it seemed) glossed over that bit with the statue as just Maria wasting time, but I think you should re-watch that scene. "The Owls are not what they seem", as the giant from Twin Peaks would say (SH is heavily influenced by David Lynch's works).
