THIS, kids, is REAL, INCOMPARABLE talent! The late Johnny Maestro was never, ever given the proper recognition by the music industry for his unmatched voice, much the same as the great Connie Francis. Two TRUE music legends who surely deserve their rightful place in rock and roll's history books (and The Hall of Fame)!

Just discovered this priceless gem of a video and of an artist so very much underrated in the history of music. His voice is the most incredible I have ever heard and absolute perfection. I am mesmerized by the talent of this man! How sad that he was taken so soon from us and how grateful I am that we can still enjoy his talent through videos such as this!

I saw him do that song in the early 1990's in South Florida. It was one of the most unbelievable performances of a song I have ever heard . Sounded just as good as this video .Blew me away .

Here's some obscure trivia: On this day in 1883 {May 24th} the Brooklyn Bridge, which connects Manhattan and Brooklyn, opened to traffic... And eighty-five years later on December 21st, 1968 the Brooklyn Bridge entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 with "Worst That Could Happen"; and on January 26th, 1969 it peaked at #3 (for 2 weeks) and spent 12 weeks on the Top 100... The two weeks it was at #3 the records at #1 and #2 remained the same for both those weeks; #1 was "Crimson and Clover" by Tommy James and the Shondells and #2 was "Everyday People" by Sly and the Family Stone...

Well I will tell you this I was 11 years old when I was listening to this song with my mother and she commented on the part when the lyrics say , this guy the one who makes you feel so Safe , so Sane and so Secure, I recall she said what a beautiful thing for a man to do. I knew right there that my father was not fulfilling those emotions to my mother. That was the cause of all there problems. My mother never loved my father. Sad but true.

I wonder who wrote that song. I heard it last night in my car, while driving home from the store, and it just moved me SO MUCH, that, when I was near home, I turned my radio up "LOUD BLAST," and "FLEW" into my driveway, and just sat there, listening to the whole song, not caring what any neighbors (that I don't know yet) may have thought, if they might have heard my car rockin'. When a song can do THAT to a person, it's just "magical."

I was a little reprised at 0:38, when the announcer says that this was the Bridge's only hit. But, he's essentially correct. Their other big hit was Blessed is the Rain, and that peaked at #45 in 1969. And Your Husband, My Wife didn't even get that high (#46).
