I think many people does not understand this or haven't seen, but he's refereing to someone he likes or is in love as brooklyn and also lives in brooklyn, he's from france and he lives in paris, so that's why he says "my heart belongs to brooklyn" and "here in paris rain is falling" he wants to be with her in brooklyn no matter what like the food, all that he wants is to be with her in brooklyn

this song reminds me when I went to go live in eden prairie MN i hated it their all the people were rich snubs who toke us to 4/5 star resturants (horrible food), the parties where lame its a grown up party and we are playing games from middle school, it just all around sucked i missed el paso tx ghetto here but damn little hidden burger joints with huge 2 buck burgers and fries mmm and my husband likes it here to its just the jobs suck other then that we love it
