Hi Chef and Papi P. I made this dish today. I used one can of Cento tomatoes, one cup of ORZO and I cut the other ingredients by one-forth of your recipe. I followed the video step by step and the ORZO came out delicious! Afterwards I ate a piece (or two) of the Key Lime Pie you showed us how to make (I made the pie yesterday). Thanks for inviting me into your kitchen. God bless.

Every time I say, I’m not going to see if they posted a new video, I cave. OMG, I can’t with you guys. My family is still talking about that chicken cacciatore!! The weekends have become Brooklyn Brothers test kitchen. I lived in Philly for 18 years. My son spent weekends at his classmates house. ( South Philly) Grandma did all the cooking. It was called Sunday Gravy in their home!! Saturday will be this recipe. Mama, make them stop!! I can’t go back to 325. ♥️

You know Italian food is so good when a "quick recipe" takes over three hours to prepare. I enjoy making these recipes on the weekend when I have nothing else going on and can take as long as I need. Only problem is I wind up about half crocked from the Chianti by the time it's done.

1 tip if you do not know - reason we used crushed tomato - puree and sauce and not straight up whole plumb tomato is because unless your doing a chunky sauce by not blending the tomatoes putting tomatoes into a blender turns them orange color and less full red why because the mixer oxyenates the tomatoes - We Love RED SAUCE/GRAVY Also RAGU!

Love you guys - iwas born in Flushing Queens mia familia on 1 side from Sicilia the other side Harlem NYC all italian - this is alot like Nonna's Recipe but she did 1 can sauce - 1 can crushed - 1 can Puree "Red Pack" brand Tomatoes - they were good a while ago now the quality is not there CENTO Tomatoes from Italia in Yellow Can are the best at regular markets and Walmart.

Thanks Buddy! That a great sauce combination. Will need to try.

@@BrooklynBrothersCooking Let me know how you like the mix of the 3. Also do you ever add sugar or hit the onions and garlic with red or white wine? I usually do when doing a quick sauce.

Way too much garlic, it overpowers the sauce, all you taste is the garlic. In Italy, they do not use that much garlic.
@BrooklynBrothersCooking2 жыл бұрын
Perhaps, some folks in Italy don’t use much garlic, but with our recipe, the garlic is not overpowering. You should give it a try.
