Mom of 90's child. Taught him to line dance to this and David Allen Coe, George Strait, Hank Jr. Then added ACDC, Stevie Ray Vaughn, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, Black Sabbath, etc. At least he can't complain I didn't give him at great music foundation!

The great thing about country dance places is: if you got great country dance skills and a great cowboy hat (and blue jeans) they will have a good time with you. It don't matter who you are or where your from. (just make sure you got skills on the dance floor, and a pair of boots if poss.) There are places that give country dance lessons too you know!

Aye for my pops RIP . Dwight Yoakam-Suspicious Minds . I’m only sharing this because it’s what was the next song on the CD player he had in his truck after he passed . Not to confuse anyone he was a loyal man but he loved Elvis and this is a remake of the original . Aye Shit was as tough as nails to get over but we do it . God Bless anyone who lost someone close to them . I know it’s a tough ordeal to go through . The viewing is like holy shit , but when the elks come in and the legion members it’s a trip homie . Forget the viewing now you carry the old man to his final place and when u walk out the army is there to play taps and the legion to do a 21 gun salute . It’s hard to keep it together . But we do it . As best as we can ! Honestly anyone who reads this . If you got this far hahaha . God Bless you . I know some crazy shit is going on with the people of America. I’m Mexican and Irish . Yea my parents met in a bar . But we all need red. Love one another . Bob Marley - One love . You better believe it’s true . Anger gets nobody anywhere. Love and Acceptance , will only see it through .

This song brings me back to elementary school in the early 90’s because my mom listened to country and 50’s rock n roll so that was the music I was raised on along with 80’s heavy metal from my older sister till I got into punk and Nu Metal in the 90’s

This is the way it's supposed to be, this thing a man is black so he's got to like a certain kind of music, a man is white so he's supposed to like a certain kind of music, listen you like what you like what moves you and your heart just forget about color, we have to be beyond that and refuse to give in to the haters to the violence we must not let them take us so my brother and you are my brother cause God made us both you just keep right on and I'll keep on watching and listening to you

One of the biggest country hits of all time came out back in 67-68. It was a big crossover hit played on all stations of all kinds of music. It won 3 Grammys. It was Ode to Billy Joe by Bobbie Gentry. She wrote and sang it. You may need to listen to it more than once to get the story. It will leave you wondering about how the story ends. There was lots of speculation on its meaning
