As opposed to country today, obviously. Are you like a modern country music advocate or something? Someone who goes around telling everyone that country music is the same that they,"Just have to look."? It's really not the same, Britt. I know that's hard to grasp, but it's true. I cannot turn the radio on today and say that I'm enjoying a lot of the songs. But back then it really was like every song on a country station was good...that is definitely not the case today.

***** Yeah, I mean I live in the country music capital pretty much. It's still around, but it's just not quite the same as it used to be. Or at least you can't find the same frequency of good artists. Used to be like every song on a country station was good, now it's like half. I just can't agree that it has the same feeling it did back then. Quite a bit of what is out there now is from artists who are kinda gimmicky and fake. Like you wouldn't think they actually live that life or that they are just trying to make some money off the image of country. Just not convincing or they are being superficial. And as someone from Nashville, I've actually seen the scene evolve over the years. You can definitely find the good stuff here in Nashville, but you can also find great examples of how things have changed. Country music used to be way more popular.

Of course Instead of promoting other countries songs in our own country why not OPM? well I'm not saying I'm a hater, actually I'm a big fan of many country artists and country songs as well. I was started listening since 2000 and I'm not aware of what I'm listening to that time because I'm too young to understand such things. My dad was listening to george straight, alabama and so much more during his old days, he influenced me to it until now I'm still a fan of old and new country artists though I didn't born in '80's lol. After my father died last 2002 my mom kept his old cassette tapes in boxes, so every time I missed my dad I put e'm all out of the boxes looking for good songs in there, list them all in my notepad and search and play 'em in youtube. :D
