I bought a like new pair of New Balance Rebel v4s for $45 shipped from the Supwell listings 3 weeks ago. imo If you’re any men’s size from 9-11.5, it’s a no brainer. The first pair of lightly used shoes you buy pays for the membership for multiple years.

There’s something about that simplistic look of the Ghost Max and now the Glycerin Max looks promising. Hopefully we can get a nice black colorway. I have the first Ghost Max and I like it for walking and 3-5 mile easy runs (my favorite runs to be honest). Thinking the Glycerin Max might be good at both but more enjoyable. It just may be my next purchase. However, I am an Asics fan as well and that black SB2 is beautiful and probably has a better drop for my running style. Tough decisions are to be made especially at that price tag.

I received my black pair on Wednesday. I love them! Loved them on the treadmill. Thanks for your review. It’s taking a little to get used to as I’m used to barefoot shoes. Also I went ahead and tried some regular glycerins. Omg!! They felt like I was walking on rocks lol. I’m not kidding. The max have already spoiled my feet 🥰😂

That waiting game for superblast 2 is getting into my nerves. 🤣 I ordered it on the day you posted the link. I have enjoyed the Superblast 1 so much and even though I’m a very low mileage runner (just averaging 35-40 kms/week at the moment) I was able to rack 100 miles on it in less than 2 months of ownership. Looking forward to enjoy the version 2 soon.

The look of the midsole immediately reminded me of the Skechers Maxroad 6 with that yellowish tinge. It sounds like this one is going to warrant a 50 mile review, especially to give an update on what this DNA Tuned feels like. One of the things I've liked about the Adizero SL2 is that it feels really normal; just lace it up and go. I'm not loving these shoes with the $200+ price though. That's getting us into Endorphin Pro 4/Deviate Nitro Elite 3 territory.

Im limited to a 2 shoe rotation, Glycerin 21 and Endorphin Speed 4. Im only up to 10ks with my first race in a month after starting running just a few months ago. Planning on first marathon on 26th birthday next year. Based on ur description, this shoe looking like my premium daily trainer and marathon shoe.

I’m interested in a weird comparison. Hyperion max 2 vs glycerin max. They’re different shoes but they target the same runner willing to spend more, the marathon runner doing 50+ miles. So, how do they compare?

This is a lot softer and more comfortable. I like the Hyperion max 2 but it is one of the firmest plated training shoes out there. The glycerin max is a lot better for relaxed miles but also has the gear for some faster running. The Hyperion max is aggressive and I wouldn't use it for my everyday runs. They would work well together for someone who wanted two shoes but I'd take the glycerin max for everyday miles

140 miles/week is insane! Most I've done is 140 miles in a month but in a week is crazy and you're bound to get injured. I tend to leave a rest day in between runs to let everything heal up. I'm liking the Glycerin Max's but if they're similar to the Hyperion Max v1, it lacks pop due to no plate. They do look nice and would be comfy for walking.

Eh, it’s high volume marathon training for a guy who’s clearly in shape. His easy pace is my current marathon pace for gods sake. To me, taking a whole day of rest between training days is even crazier. You are literally evolved to be able to run and be active every day. Humans have been doing it for thousands of years.

The brooks rep came in to the store about 4 month ago and let us try these on and when I tell you these are really nice! They are really nice! Very stable, didn’t feel overly soft and was responsive and honestly wasn’t overly aggressive at least jogging in the store. Would love if these were 170/180 but ayeee what u gonna do

@@supwell Thank you. Your insights are awesome. I just retired the Superblast after 800k which I used as my daily trainer. Loved the lightweight feel and the stack height. But, halfway through I did have some achilles pain on my left foot and a bit of ankle pain on the other foot. I started to wear thicker socks and use the highest lace eyelets to get a better heal lockdown and things got much better. So, I just ordered the Glycerin Max for my daily and long runs, replacing the Superblast for added comfort and protection. I plan to continue top use my NB SC Elite V3 for Tempo runs and my Endorphin Pro 3 for racing.

Great question! This is more comfortable and I've been enjoying it more through the first 30 miles. The sc trainer v3 is a little more aggressive and is a better pick for someone who wants a race shoe alternative and something that feels fast. I'm personally taking the glycerin max for comfort all day!
