Agree. I’m somewhat new to running and went nuts buying several pairs of shoes to see what works best for me. At 6’4” 260 lbs it’s max stack all the way. Love the ghost max and use it for a gym shoe/short runs but $200 is pretty steep for this one… if I give it a shot it will probably be before the next release when the price drops.

Love the way the shoe looks I hear from another reviewer Yowana it takes a few or more to really break in...thing is that $200.00 price range.. yikes we will see ...I can't afford a 200.00 easy run shoe when I can get one for 150 170..range. my opion wish I could afford that..great review one love God bless 🙌 🙏 😊all

Yeah the price point ls always make it a challenge to get these shoes for sure but I love the shoe. As for braking it in I’ve done 40miles and it feels just as great from the first run but I’m a bigger guy

Love the video! I’m going to try the glycerin 21s Tuesday. The Infinity Run 3 had way too much heel slip unfortunately. Also, I have a suggestion- shoot your b roll dolly shots in 60 frames so you can slow them down and stabilize them a bit in post. Keep it up, Aubrey! Love your content 🙏

I always find I can put more miles in a brooks shoe than just about anything else. So even if they cost a little extra... i still get 20-30% more miles outta them. Plus the grip is usually great. Doing hill repeats in the rain and my brooks can usually be relied on for zero slippage.

Liked it, then watched it, then loved it! Simple as that!🌹 The glycerin gts 21/22 was my first real running shoe as a heavy runner, I loved it at the beginning until it was just too hard and too supportive. But it looks really exciting to plan it in for the 5-20 km slow runs on Saturdays. Or even for the Sunday walk to get the legs free 😊

In February 2025 around Valentine's day, Skechers Performance is releasing a max shoe in collaboration with Snoop Dog. It's called the Max Puff 666, it will have a heel height of 76 with a 5mm drop. Retail price will be around $320.00 when released.

Puma Grip is the best in class, there is no doubt about it. I have run in Puma Velocity Nitro 2,Puma Deviate nitro 2 in heavy rain and they are just fantastic not even once did they slip. Even Adidas continental rubber grip is overrated if compared to Puma Grip. Even though imo Adidas Adizero line is better overall if compared to Puma . I have the Brooks Hyperion Elite 3 and that racing shoe started to slip even on partially wet roads let alone heavy rains. Brooks may have made bettered the grip on the Brooks Glycerin max but I would not know as I don't have that shoe.

Fact - grip on hyperion max 2 on wet is non existent - in fact on wet concrete surfaces you slide like in skates - very bad , won't be even considering this when wet weather - likely here in Au not much of that

How does it compare to the standard Glycerin? Surprised you didn’t mention that, as this would be the Ghost Max to the standard Ghost I would have thought?

Brooks went ahead and bit themselves in the butt. Reason being is .., I already picked up the Ghost Max 2.., same principles as a shoe, but lighter and less expensive.., I picked them up for 135 USD, 15 below retail at release. If this glycerin would have come out before, who knows what I would have chose. Though brooks may segment these shoes differently, a person of my running experience, would use them for the same purpose. good overview.., is the foam an EVA base, or PEBA base ? does it say in the Tech Specs ??

Maybe so but I feel like this shoe will make its own splash. My prediction is that this will make its own lane. As a reviewer I think a lot of people will see the same hype as I did but as a runner I think this will compete with the best of them especially for brooks fans

@@romrome I'm a solid US 13 and I'm not sure they even have half sizes beyond that. I feel like it jumps to 14 usually. Brooks usually has pretty consistent sizing. I often remove the insoles from my shoes for a little more space. I've seen other reviews of this shoe today elsewhere and it does seem like it has a decently wide toe box :)

Oh boy, this shoe might be dead on arrival. Glycerin Max had the misfortune of releasing in the same year as Skyward X and Superblast 2. This might be the reason why they waited to release at the end of the year. While Glycerin Max is more of a recovery shoe, it's priced toe to toe with these supertrainers -- making it incredibly difficult to justify the cost. Unlike SB2 and SkyX, there's no premium foam or plate. So it just looks like they're sticking consumers with a larger portion of the R&D costs. It also weighs as much as SkyX. At least with SkyX, many reviewers have pointed out that the energy return (thanks to PEBA and carbon plate) on that shoe virtually canceled out the weight. Glycerin Max has none of these going on for it. Just plush.

I think you raise very good points, and I can’t argue with you at all. My excitement comes from the fact that brooks gave us the Ghost 16, which I found to be too firm and hard to run in so the Ghost Max was my preference but now this… I’m happy. The challenge starts when you start comparing
