Jill! Your videos are so lovely. Would you ever do one on a braided rooster tail? That's one style I haven't had a chance to learn in-person. I found one video but it's difficult to see what's happening. It's so pretty!

Hallo Jill.... Love your broom videos. Syster and I got together and made the Hawk's Wing broom.... we used a mix of last years broom and this years broom. A week later, the broom has shrunk and the strings are a bit loose. We soaked the broom hurl/nurl before use.... is shrinkage normal? Is it because we used some of this years broom? Did I over soak them?

I just discovered broom corn yesterday shopping for next year's garden seeds. I love this with seeds for arrangements.. then I find you make brooms! I like this hawk tail and love the color. Thank you for your instructions. What kind of dye do you use?

@@CANHULI Thank You! Since my discovery I've been watching many videos on broom making, have favored... and subscribed to you. Not to many dye their broom corn that I have come across. The colors make such a difference; so vibrant... that's why I wondered what dye... and your instruction doesnt leave anything unanswered, for me at least. Then I find you do baskets as well!!!....Also very beautiful and colorful. I saw your video outside in snow dying your material. Much hard work for your craft... but not if you like it so, I guess. I can appreciate all your work and dedication. Thank you for sharing your beautiful craft with thorough instruction. Enjoy watching your videos. 😎

Hello Jill. I want to venture into broom making so i came across your channel. Really elaborate and insightful. What is the type of twine/string you are using?

Thanks for the tutorial.)) please, Can you tell , how you paint the material? I've seen black and purple straw in your other videos. Do you use a special pigment for this?

What does the advance mean? Is there a video you talk about that?
@CANHULI2 жыл бұрын
every time there is an "advance" up the neck of the broom (looks diagonal) before you wrap again.

how many # of broom corn? I think I missed that part LOL
@CANHULI4 жыл бұрын
depends on how thick you want the broom, about a 1/2 # should do it or a bit more. What feels good in your hand.
