I used to go with money I couldn’t afford to lose. I had a bad run many years ago where I did chase my losses….and lost even more. So another effective way is from learning the hard way. I have certainly learnt from this and I now go with money that I can afford to lose. I am lucky enough to be in the mindset of being able to cut my losses and come home a little down instead of completely out at worst, but never chase by getting more money out that I can’t afford to lose. You’re right, doing it in sessions is the best method IMO. Nothing worse than losing all your money in the first 1 to 2 days of say a 6 to 7 day trip and then watching other people gamble while you can’t yourself.

I lost $200, chased it with $70, won back $165, and fed it all back.... Mad at myself, but I can't afford this. I have to just deal with this loss and keep myself secluded. If I do this again, once a week, I'll get carried away fast. Yes, I'm mad at myself but hey, if it cost me $250-300 to learn a lesson that keeps me from losing thousands and thousands, so be it. I fed this slot $200+ at $.20 denom and it didn't give me ONE bonus. I had a 5x multi waiting for my next bonus, but it never gave me a bonus. I kept depositing $10, $10, $10, $20 $20 $20, til i blew thru the $165 plus another $75. I'm now realizing that nothing is good enough if its not HUNDREDS. I'm never gonna make it back. Gotta chalk this loss and stop playing in order to win back losses

It’s amazing how in 1 video, you seem to have hit on so many levels, every impulsive gambler’s worst times and fears that truly only those that have been through it know the feeling. Absolutely agree on sessions and stop losses being the number 1 most important aspect of being successful in general but an absolute necessity when it comes to gambling. Life is a gamble. Lose the minimum, win steadily. Cheers.

Take it from a long time gambler....40 years. This IS SOME OF THE BEST FREE ADVICE I'VE EVER HEARD!!! Figured this out in my 6th year of gambling. Never have gut punch losses anymore. Make your trip a 9 inning (session) visit. Lose a little take a break. When winning you get to walk with your $500 or $5,000 wins and enjoy the money in your pocket. When I have a big win I require myself to go have a very nice meal before gambling again. This way if it happened at midnight I gotta wait til after a superb breakfast. He also hit nail on the head my rule of thumb is 20%.....when winning Inonly allow myself to give back 20% from my peak. Sit down with $200 get up to $500....well you gotta walk if you get down to $400 as you've given 20% back.

Solid advice. I always save money specifically for the tables when traveling to Vegas. Divide the money for each day and pocket all the winnings til each days budget is gone. At the end of the trip i usually come up. Never dip into your winnings to gamble.

Good advice, thats what i do in vegas, I take 200 a day for gambling. If I lose I found out its cheaper to take me and gf to good dinner instead of trying to get even for the day. If i win for the day i keep a keep it. Worse i ever felt on a trip one time i won 5 thousand with 200 buyin on craps on first day. Next 4 days of trip I lost it all plus some.

I really appreciate this advice here. Tonight I did what you said not to do before I found this video. started with a hundred, went up 30, played down to nothing. Lol. As much as I hate myself for playing down to nothing and people would look at $100 as chump change I have a history of doing a lot of chasing a loss. I like playing poker with friends but at a casino I end up not having the confidence to play at the table with random people and end up playing roulette and or slots which are probably the worst games you can play. I did hit $6k off a slot back in 2019 and kind of wish I did not hit because now after winning that I've kind of kept playing in general and though I've had some small wins here and there it's mostly been losses since then.. and after I lost the hundred tonight I just left the casino. In a way it's actually a win for me since I did not go back to the atm after but I gotta say I really like your idea of sessions, and having a win goal and also setting a stop loss ahead of time. This is actually legit good advice that I know I can stick to. thank you so much for taking the time to offer and record this advice. very much appreciated.✌

Life Changing #BrorNation this advice is very much how I approach my poker sessions. And I’ve always called them sessions. Last year I did a 30 session challenge. 3k in 30 Sessions! Just $100 per session but of course we are never gonna win every session so stop loss comes into play, absolutely. Some sessions we go up a few hundred or more but always had a stop point, up or down.

Very good advice Bror. I love how you relate chasing losses not just to gambling but to someone's professional and personal life as well since the ideas remain the same. Now I just go to casino for fun with a little money that I can afford to lose.. Best way is to break large bill into $5 so I can not go crazy in chasing the losses...If I can get free room at casino with minimal losses the I win at Vegas. Thank U

Great advice. It's funny from day one I always worked with limits and budgets when I hit LV. I approached my trip to LV in daily budgets. That daily budget included everything from partying to gambling. If I was enjoying myself on a night out then the gambling budget was lower and vice versa. So limits are key especially in Las Vegas and if can't set and stick to those LV probably isn't for you.👍👍

The slot machines slightly favor the house. If they didn't, the casinos would lose money and go out of business. The more you play, the more your overall win/loss will revert to the mean. You might buck the odds by winning a huge jackpot, but that's rare. You play slot machines for amusement, not to make money. If you want to be able to play longer, bet the minimum. You can also go to Reno where the slots have a higher payback rate than in Las Vegas. But overall, the odds favor the house wherever you play.
