It's official. They've been Floyded, y'all. Lol. Yes the entire album seamlessly transitions like that. It is what they do. That's why if you try to listen to one song, sometimes it will cut off suddenly because you're not experiencing the transition. No other band sounds like Pink Floyd. They are a sound All their own. Check out "Money" next. Or should you choose, Money transitions into "Us and Them". You might want to do them both.

Guys, you’ve been struck by lightning. Just a quick primer on how to listen to “Floyd.” The groups’ intent ( as everyone knows) is to have you take in their music from first song to last song all at once. For your channels’ purposes do a side at a time, if that’s the best you can do. The key is to have patience with few breaks. You’ll miss what’s unique doing a song at a time. Their extended intros, outros, Coda’s, long passages, and routinely joining one composition to another, in the end are more than worthy of the time spent, which makes the payoff huge. Good to see you both enjoying what’s to be a great “ride.”

Btw, the album starts with Speak to Me/Breathe. This is the proper introduction. You only heard the "Breathe" portion. Again the two tracks transition so seamlessly it plays like one track. So you only heard half the opening intro. When playing the album from the beginning you must start with Speak to Me/ Breathe together. The two tracks at the end.. "Brain Damaged" and "Eclipse" must also be played together or the flow is ruined.

I have to start by saying that I 100% enjoyed you guys realizing that these two songs don't even go together on the album. But that just backs up the objective fact that this is one of the most well produced albums of all time. Listening to this album from start to finish is a journey that can be appreciated by everyone. It speaks to values and problems that every single person on this planet has come to face. If you guys want to do a fresh full album review of a Pink Floyd album, I would highly recommend 'Animals' as a introspection of society or 'The Wall' as a deeper look into mental health and the human condition.

You can tell I'm old when I say how refreshing it its to hear bright, well spoken young men getting totally taken away by the music I grew up with. I did anything to get concert tickets through the sixties and seventies (and after that!) and saw pretty much all of the greats. Envy is a horrible colour on anyone, but I'm wearing it as I watch you guys because I so wish I could, like you, hear these classics for the first time. I reacted very similar to you. Music was -- and still is -- all. Keep up the great reactions, lads. Enjoy the journey you're on. You bring joy to an old heart. Respect.

What you guys experienced here were two songs butted together from two different sides of their awesome 'Dark Side of the Moon' album. To best experience this PF album listen to the whole album beginning to end to see what we mean. What you heard is cool and the transition worked, but it's not the same layout as the album. As you noticed the last song ended abruptly, but it's not that way on the album! The whole album (start to finish) will send you guys into orbit!! Before Dark Side came out in 1973, PF was a very popular psychedelic rock band but Dark Side made them superstars overnight, and along with their following albums (and their previous ones too), a legendary band. Their next album 'Wish You Were Here' is also one of those 'concept albums' (with the smooth transitions between songs) that's also best heard beginning to end like many progressive rock band's albums. But once you've done enough of their Dark Side and later works check out their pre-Dark Side albums like 'Obscured By Clouds', 'Meddle' and 'Atom Heart Mother' (the latter being a with a lot of brass). "Yes" is another prog-rock band who did concept albums you guys will enjoy too. So start with the first song on their first big hit album, and the song is called "Yours Is No Disgrace" off their 'The Yes Album' album. One thing more, Pink Floyd may send you into orbit, but Yes will send you into another dimension!!✌😎

Great reaction guys, so true. They are all educated musicians, very intelligent and detailed in composition and expression. They put layer upon layer to express the story they are telling or singing. Their albums tell stories from beginning to end like a novel. Breathe starts the album with the moment of birth and the first breath of air, progresses through the stages of our lives to maturity, when all the experiences gained in your life come together like a rainbow full of colors that constantly flow from one to another, just choose the one color you like it at a given moment and connect it with another one. Like a kind of wisdom of age.

I'm sitting here, almost tearing up, watching you both experience PF for the first time - it's like, "yes, you understand that feeling, too!" I was a lot younger than you (I think) when I first experienced PF (this album was my first, too) and I'm still as moved as the first time. Anyway, you've probably heard that PF albums should be listened to in their entirety and in order, which is right - each album is a concept/story. But, at the end of the day, any way you hear them when you first get started is okay - as long as you give them a fair listening. Of course, you can break this rule by listening/watching vids of their 1994 "Pulse" concert - it will blow you away, I promise. "Sorrow", "Comfortably Numb", "High Hopes" and "Keep Talking" are amazing!! By this concert, they'd already been a huge band for almost 30 years (some changes in band members) - and they still will leave you at a loss for words! Please don't miss it!

Yes, you should have continued through the next transition into 'On the run'. Now that's trippy.(and how it was on the original album). Transitions are what Pink Floyd do, like no-one else. 'Any colour you like' has the same chords & bass as Breathe, but is even better when it seamlessly comes back in later after 'Us and them' on the original recording .

I love Pink Floyd, their music really has special place in my heart and DSOTM is a masterpiece! However, I think it's time (or at least soon) to introduce you to The Rolling Stones. You should react to a few songs from their masterpiece album, "Exile On Main St."! Songs like 'Rocks Off', 'All Down the Line', and 'Stop Breaking Down' are perfect songs to listen too. Fun fact: In 1972, the Stones were literally exiled from their own country of UK for "tax exile" and got f*****d over by record label ABKCO and their former manager, thus fleeing to the country of France where they recorded half of the albums music in the city of Nellcôte, France. The album is very diverse when it comes to different genres of music; it has Rock, Blues, Country, Folk, Jazz, some Psychedelia music and Gospel. Although it received mixed reviews at it's time, "Exile..." would be voted at 14th of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine! It's also my favorite album of theirs so I hope you check it out!

Pink Floyd is a completely different vibe than Zeppelin. Black Sabbath and The Who are also two massive bands from this time period that really need to be listened to.

Your reactions are very cool. Pink Floyd is timeless and I can't wait until you hear "Shine On Crazy Diamond" 😀 It's about their ex-singer who had mental problems and had to leave the band. He whole personality changed and he even visited the recordings of that very song by chance but the other band members couldn't recognize him at first and cried later! With that information the song will make more sense and the video (you see his face in the beginning in the moon) 😌

If people are still loving Pink Floyd, then there may be hope. Dig deep and enjoy.

Just scratching the surface guys! Next, listen to time again on your own and pause at the transition into the next song, which is "Great Gig in the Sky". It is meant to flow from one to another. Enjoy the ride!

I hope you guys explore their other albums too, like the Wish You Were Here album. Their song Shine On You Crazy Diamond is my all time favorite Pink Floyd song, definitely worth the listen. You should also listen to comfortably numb, which is basically their biggest song since it has the best guitar solo in the history of rock. Then you can react to comfortably numb live, either pulse version or pompeii, both have great solos.
