That last hit of the last round was dropped from the combo, there maybe could’ve been one last chance to try a comeback from there but I understand that it was pretty commonly accepted the match was over there and I see why you stopped blocking. Regarding set length vs double elim, double elim allows for characters with a couple of really bad matchups to make it further through the bracket. I also think it's important with open brackets because otherwise the pot monster who gets matched up against one of the top seeds, that becomes their only match, which often won't be fun. I do agree that for invitationals single elim high game count works well, and better than I would have expected.

the best part in a vacuum was that match going 4-5 + being pretty neck-and-neck for a majority of it, the quote unquote "worst part" was that the rest of Mena's matches weren't even close as you pointed out lol nah but in all seriousness you put on an amazing performance, having at one point kinda evening out the crowd and getting everyone there and at home so excited was exhilarating, it's more than safe to say you assuaged your initial fear of not wanting to put on a good and proper show, and hopefully the next one will be even more exciting oh and you made me think Aki is hella tight
