I’m glad someone finally made a video about this. My biggest peeve about the game is simply getting into a match. Why when I select ranked or casual, it still takes me to the menu where I can choose whether to play ranked or casual? This game needs a complete UI revamp

Wouldn't you be able to DI and get a wall splat if they tap parry because of the recovery? I know they can hold parry down but it seems like most people were tapping it.

I'm here for it, but I don't see why half an hour is needed to explain why having the same animation play out 3-10 times in a row, followed by a lethal (or almost lethal) combo, all in the same corner is bad and boring to watch and to play.

Another little thing to add about stand fierce into medium jinrai. Ken is at no risk of losing any drive even if you do punish with an EX DP. Because EX DP’s don’t cause any drive damage on punish counter. And the damage you deal to ken is around 400 or so less than ken would deal to you had you gotten hit by the string. Super cool stuff.

I think it’s still a “what if” mixup. Like you’re hoping your opponent does something, or if they don’t know about it. It works but the circumstances of each round could also motivate you not to go for it, for example, if you’re opponent has meter to kill you or if you’re in one-hit range as far as health. Up to the player overall.

I think that the ability to control space effectively and how good your character is at maintaining the position they want to be in is what really makes them strong. Akuma has great space control and is a master of all trades.

I think the reset to 1500 each month is important because it allows to trickle down the high level strategies and tactics to the scrubs. The new system shouldn't stop it dead, but progress will be slower.

seeing ANY menu improvements is a massive step in the right direction for the game, now they just need to make the main menu less shit and put a "commonly changed settings" tab for stuff like the languages and music changes and well be cooking with gas

This is really a game changer. I know it's just laziness but the amount of times the process required to watch a replay kept me from learning is incredible. I've been on a light break since poe2 came out, only playing sf a couple of times a week, but this brought me right back. Hugely motivating for me. Edit - it's not elitist or gatekeeping to want the matchmaking to be good even on day 1. That's a frustrating misuse of terms and ideas by these people.

As the one guy who is a world tour affecienado. I wanna add to the world tour part of the video just how absurd it is that the character is level 63 and only has meet 3 masters, like experience points are hard to come by in world tour. I'm also pretty sure that the main quest forces you to meet Marisa at like level 12, but I guess the update is pretty neat if you somehow miss all the context clues while storming through the main quest.
