Gareth: STAY HERE UNTIL I SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING!!! Me (smirking): Carol is happening. The reunion scenes in "No Sanctuary" get me every time. But when Rick and Carl reunite with Judith, it's doubly poignant. You have the two mothers in the group (Carol and Michonne) looking on with happy, yet wistful smiles as they stand to one side, watching the Grimes family reunion. You know they're happy for them but are also remembering their own lost children. It's also a bit of a full-circle moment. Carol was able to help save and return Rick's "lost" child in the way that Rick wanted to save and return Sophia, but sadly wasn't able to. This episode, man. 😭

Fun fact: the cannibal in the cabin who chews gum in a weird way, judith is his daughter in real life, and the part where he acts like hes gonna snap her neck, he didnt trust anyone else to do it so thats why hes in that scene.

Comic Comparisons : This arc with the cannibals mirrors Volume 11 of the comics dubbed Fear The Hunters They do meet Father Gabriel just like they do in the comics In the show the leader of the cannibals is named Gareth but in the comics it’s Chris Bob doesn’t exist in the comics so instead it’s Dale who is still alive at this point in the comics.

Comic Comparisons : The current arc mirrors an arc in the comic named Fear The Hunters Terminus as a place doesn’t exist but the people do Instead it’s just a traveling group of cannibal bandits who kidnap people and eat them It’s nowhere near as organized as in the show.

Great double reaction guys, BUT YOU MISSED THE POST CREDIT SCENE right at the very end.🤦‍♀️ You'll have to go back and watch it. Anthony you cracking me up with his screaming.😂 COME ON its Season 5 everyone, one of the best of the whole of TWD and in my top 5 & 10 of my favourite episodes, it's when this group/family were real badass at its strongest and we could do ANYTHING with this bunch - but don't mess with them or be mistaken and take their kindness for weakness, especially 'Special Ops🥷🏼Carol' (I'm calling her from now on - thanks Anthony😉😆) and Rick our wonderful, fierce and caring natural leader, a protector of family and friends with that murder jacket on, (the fandom chose that name), a battle-hardened survivor, then there's our beloved boy Daryl (the one man you'd want to be with in an Apocalypse due to his survival skills and resourcefulness) with his crossbow and the beautiful Michonne with her Katana who's fierce, knows who NOT to trust, smart, relentless and determined and the rest of the gang, but how can one forget our beloved Glenn, one of our main characters right from the beginning, the best supply runner, he's smart, a lot smarter than given credit for, he's VERY loyal, resourceful and probably one of the, if not the quickest thinker on his feet and not to mention he is compassionate and often shows great humanity. Upon airing, (5x1) the episode hit series-high ratings, with 17.29 million viewers. The episode is considered by critics and audiences to be one of the show's best, citing the fast-paced action, dark themes, and performances by the lead cast as high points. Even baby Judith played her part well with her poor little expressions of being scared👼🏼😢 (although still not comfortable with a baby playing such roles in a show of this nature, but the guy who played Martin was scared to put his hands around her neck so it was her dad's hands that were shown around her neck), but in that last scene, she stayed still and quiet because she knew any second now that BIG ole Uncle Tyreese was going to come smashing through that door and pummel👊🏾 Martin after he went to check if Tyreese was still alive. I loved Anthony's name for Carol, "Special Ops Carol".🥷🏼CAROL THE MVP! The group would ne no longer had it not been for her actions.😂 YEP Carol had all that rage deep down in her and probably dreamt of doing all sorts to her husband Ed back before S1, but was too scared of him and timid, remember what she did to his corpse after with the pickaxe⛏️ when poor Daryl just stood there looking at her intermittently like "dyamn lady, take it easy there" or that's a lot of rage. Then as Merle would say to her "...your a late bloomer". Hunter the group/family were 15 at this point with the only one missing being Beth as follows: 1. Rick 2. Carl 3. Judith* 4. Michonne 5. Daryl 6. Carol 7. Maggie 8. Glen 9. Tara 10. Tyreese 11. Sasha 12. Bob 13. Abraham 14. Rosita 15. Eugene Then obviously now 16 in number after meeting Fth. Gabriel in episode 2 and I always laugh hard at Episode 2 after they save Gabriel and he makes that joke "....perhaps I'm just leading you into a trap" - after what they've just been through with the Governor, the Claimers, then learnt the true motives of the Terminans that joke was BAD TIMING.🤣 Rick was right, the Terminans shouldn't have lived, they were watvhing our group and look at what they did to poor Bob's leg.🦶🏾🔥
