This is not a spoiler because it’s not mentioned in the show but Rick was in the hospital for 59 days 2 months which does explain why the flowers died and why the Zombie Apocalypse already started.

The walking dead is in a fictional universe where zombie media and zombie pop culture didnt exist. That is why no one says the word "Zombie". Its a new concept to them.

Exactly! Not enough people mention this. It's an obvious factor too. And totally odd when you don't know why they never say the word. They don't have a word for it, so they all had to make up their own on the spot.

They did use the word zombie sometimes pretty early in the comics, but it is absent from the show (which was Kirkman’s intent even with the comics, but he would forget, and use it). In the comic and show universes, there would probably still be the voodoo concept of “zombie” (so the word would exist), though that’s not the same as the generic “reanimated corpse” meaning that we use. Even if an undead zombie concept and that sort of fiction may have existed in the comics universe, I think it could be safe to assume that it just didn’t reach pop culture like it has in our reality. In that case, I don’t think it’s a stretch for Glenn to use it, because he just seems like someone who would be into “obscure” horror movies and such.

As far as I'm concerned seasons 1 through like 7 or 8 of this show is really really good. And even after it never really is bad at all. I hope you guys enjoy even if not all of it comes to KZbin! Also when this was on "live" or as the seasons came out it was an event. There was a post show, talk show kind of thing and everything on to discuss events, what will happen next, best kills etc. Was a cultural phenomenon to say the least Also LOL so cool seeing you react to Michael Rooker as Merele after seeing Guardians. When I saw Guardians after watching Walking Dead I was so surprised to see him in it! XD awesome

Season 1 was made by the man who directed Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. It is so good. They fired him because he wanted more money for season 2, so season 2 is a little less excellent, but the show finds it way.

To be clear, it’s not just that he wanted to be paid more (and I certainly don’t fault him for that), but that he also wanted to take the show in a direction which would have required a rather larger budget. There wasn’t a willingness to do either of those things at that point, and sometimes there just aren’t compromises to be reached, so it went how it went.

Let's goooo! My favorite show of all time. Y'all are going to love it, I know it! It's one of those shows that doesn't get the respect it deserves because people brush it off as a "zombie show" when it's really so much more than that. The character arcs/relationship development between characters, storytelling, makeup, antagonists, tension, heartbreak, and appreciation for the small things is unmatched. I don't often "like" videos, but before even watching I saw someone in the comments mention the 2K like goal, so I threw it a like before I'm able to watch! P.S. PLEASE be careful about spoilers with this show. I feel like with GOT y'all took the proper precautions to avoid spoilers, but it's just as, if not more important with this show. I rarely see outright spoilers, but people often comment things without considering the fact that they have the context of seeing the whole show. Again, I haven't watched the video yet, so maybe y'all mention if y'all have someone combing through the comments, but I hope y'all don't get any spoilers.

The famous shot is actually Freedom Pkwy looking west towards downtown. And the east-bound traffic clogged side isn't leaving the city (in real life), but the clear side would take you to 75/85 south and out of the city. Always found that kind of funny. But they definitely had to choose the cooler, more dramatic view, so it works. Glad ya'll are watching this and pretty sure you're going to smash 2k likes!

As a Canadian, I'd be heading north. The farther you go the less people per square kilometre there are. Eventually it would become a rarity to see anyone, zombie or otherwise. Harsh winters sound much better than hordes of walkers.

This is not really spoilerish, but if you noticed, when Rick comes out of the hospital room, there is a bed pushed up against the door, and I know people like to hate on Lori for sleeping with Shane, but they did think Rick was dead, no way he could have come out of the hospital, and she knew Shane, trusted him, and put yourself in that scenario, the world has gone to crap, dead walking around, and you feel like you just need someone to hold on to. Just my take.

She was under the impression that her husband was dead (cause Shane literally told her that) and sought comfort in the arms of a very trusted friend of the family. The only person who cheated Rick was Shane. I mean at least when Rick came back, Lori immediately stopped the thing with Shane, whereas Shane decided Rick came back and cheated him out of a life with Lori and Carl. In my opinion neither Lori or Shane were bad people for being together because they both thought Rick was gone, when he came back is where the real issue begins lol

One thing you gotta know. Robert Kirkman, the creator of TWD, explained that the zombie pop culture never existed in the TWD. So, the characters don't know anything about the concept of zombies and undead. That's why you might some decisions and way of thinking puzzling sometimes, because unlike us, they don't know the "zombie apocalypse manual" lol

I think a big reason is because of how popular the walking dead was when it was first airing and how unpopular reaction content was. It was probably non existent actually. Not a lot of people haven’t watched it or at least seen clips and spoilers of it

@@ganjahiwalker2641 Absolutely the amount of people who haven't seen it, who do reaction content are for sure miniscule, it was a huge hit, and almost everyone saw it. Plus as you mentioned reaction content wasn't a thing back then so nobody could have even known to capitalize. However I feel like most people stopped watching at some point, it took so long to film, and so many changes through the show most people quit all at different points. And watching someone who has seen a few episodes or a couple seasons is still quality content because they likely haven't watched it in almost a decade. So, it's nice to see those who haven't seen it, or those who haven't finished it, go back and give it a go on camera! It's unfortunate but regardless of the reason, there's now a few good reaction channels making their way through and I couldn't be happier about it!!!!!!

Watching this again I noticed that despite Rick and Shane thinking the other deputy was a dumb ass, they both stood in front of their car when they could have gotten behind the engine block or at least the side and had some cover.
