STORY
Discover the captivating tale of a once glorious 700-square meter mansion nestled in the rolling landscapes of rural Tennessee. Join us as we explore the stunning features and tragic history of this forsaken estate.
Step inside and marvel at the opulent spiral staircase, a striking centerpiece within the colossal five-bedroom mansion. The neoclassical architecture lends a timeless elegance to every corner, while the master bedroom boasts a mesmerizing blue iridescent ceiling, enveloping the space in a luxurious ambiance.
Originally built in the early 2000s, this mansion was the pride of a beloved local couple-a rising politician and her wealthy real estate husband. However, their idyllic life began to unravel in 2014.
Witness the dramatic events that unfolded within these opulent halls-divorce papers flying, bitter accusations echoing. By 2015, the husband was gone, his life cut short under mysterious circumstances. What secrets lie hidden behind this tragedy?
As the wife, now alone, ventured into the political realm, a mountain of debt emerged, casting a shadow over the mansion. Over half a million dollars in back taxes loomed, a ticking time bomb attributed to her late ex-husband-or so she claimed.
The mansion's grandeur faded, and it succumbed to neglect and abandonment. Lawsuits, bankruptcy, and disputed ownership engulfed the once luxurious estate. Gold foil engravings and sparkling blue ceilings now bear witness to a turbulent saga of wealth, power, and betrayal.
Today, the mansion stands as a decaying relic, holding its secrets tight. It speaks volumes about lost love, shattered dreams, and a once prominent family. Join us on this journey as we unravel the rise and fall of this powerful dynasty through the abandoned halls of this remarkable property.

I saw this mansion a year ago, it's full of women's shoes, it's unbelievable how rich people throw their money and leave everything, while some people don't have a home

The home is really on the lower end of luxury. Who knows what the real truth is, two sides to every story, it's a shame they made them leave. Banks are on their own agenda. So sad 😢 😶🐾

@JoyceMartincream I said the same thing while watching this video, this house doesn't have the amenities a high end mansion would have, other than the main stairway and great room, it is just a normal home in America. The kitchen was a disappointment, the pool & pool deck were plain jane and why only 3 bedrooms, should have at least 4. The barn looked decent but half of it was a apartment for the horse trainer, not many stalls for horses.

Well I'm sure she wouldve loved to get her things but the bank siezed the house and everything inside it and she wasn't even allowed back inside to get her shit. Dude said as much at one point. But in general I agree with you.

My ex had money , as I lived “in money” , I forgot what it was like not to have money. Our friend had a crappy car & my ex said “Why doesn’t he just get a new car??” And reality came back to me , and I said “ Because he can’t afford it”.. I was shocked how easily how a view can change. It hit me hard that people of means either forgot what living paycheck to paycheck was like, OR they NEVER KNEW. Many politicians of means have NO CONSCIENCE OF WHAT regular We The People really live like. I left him eventually, we just did not have the same values, or ethics , or integrity. Very few wealthy people can relate to how the majority of people really live. I now live in a house the size of our garage and I couldn’t be happier. I’d rather eat beans & bacon in peace, then steak & ale in fear. I know not all wealthy people look down on others, but the majority do. Jmo

A little internet search and you can find out the back story of this mansion. The politican was never jailed, you got the wrong Tina Jones guys. The mansion owner, Tina Jones was the candidate for Mayor in Rutherford County TN. Tina wasn't the problem, it was her husband, who's deceased. The house is being held up in the court legal battle. Back taxes were paid by her brother in law. Tina Jones, a Republican businesswoman with 7 generations of her family having lived in Rutherford County, has launched her campaign for County Mayor. Jones is a 38-year resident of Rutherford County and served as a Rutherford County Commissioner for 12 years, serving on the Rutherford County Regional Planning Commission for 8 of those 12 years. Jones is known as being one of the most effective leaders during her tenure in office and a forceful advocate for keeping taxes low. There is more to the story if you care to look for it.

I get the image in my mind that this was not a happy home. It seems the bigger the house got, the more empty it was, very sad. Her bedroom was just obscene. Shows how big her ego was, and how hard she fell. The kitchen is gorgeous! Most of us can only dream of having one like it. It’s sad this woman had such a sad end, I hope she’s doing ok and learned a lesson this loss would earn her. Thank you for sharing the explore Leslie!!

Yes, imo- the primary( master) bedroom speaks a lot to the taste (or lack thereof) of the owners - yes a bit on the “tacky” side it would appear ( fake look wood walls of the gentleman’s oversized office area - instead of real, fine wood paneling, the faux marble painted areas, faux marble columns- likely the gold ceilings are likely only faux gold paint of some ilk, maybe the chandeliers left behind were only cut glass ( or possibly plastic even) & not truly “crystal” chandeliers ( just ‘ knock offs) hard to say with a cursory glance sometimes. ( why were some left & several removed?) likely many curious questions we will never know the answers to. Maybe at some point someone will take the property & turn it into a fine equestrian estate that shows more reverence to the land & quality buildings…

I think the part I hate the most about that master bed is the fact the bed isn't centered under the cathedral ceiling. Yes I know the bathroom entrance is right there, but if they were going to build a bed into the house, then they should've arranged the walls in a way the door would be somewhere else. Just an opinion

They may have never had as much money as it seems. The house and it's luxuries were most likely gained from bank loans and credit from the very beginning. That wasn't paid, hence, of course, the huge debt and abandoned mansion.

Those doors are called pocket doors, and the shimmering wallpaper is stunning! I love royal blue, a families’ master bedroom would not be opened to visitors- I loved it! That is why I watched the video! I’ve been homeless, and I’ve also lived in a beautiful home with a tennis court! This is a guest house in Aspen, Beverly Hills, especially the Biltmore in Eastern USA! I’m bringing a cleaning crew and moving in tomorrow! Just joking! The most beautiful house in the world is the Biltmore, still privately owned! But open to tourists. Ps, all big homes are not owned by the corrupt, but I would never invest in a house on earth, I’ll take a cottage with a great view in heaven!

People are very quick to judge other people based on what they see and hear. Usually the judgment is negative and that is so unfair and unfortunate. You will never really know what went wrong with a couple unless you know them very well and even then it is relative. The daughter's card alone speaks volumes to me!!!

Absolutely! Bravo!!! Reading another comment gives truth to your testament. The fact that he calls her a "Rich Bitch" really galls me. Just yesterday, I watched one of his videos from Italy, where he just gushes about a thousand year old mansion and vineyard, and it's previous owners. The fact that the last living family members had come by the old estate by means of their ancestor poisoning the valid owner of the estate, seemed to be glossed over in awe. Nevermind, that the last family killed the previous owner in a devious manner and forcefully booted that mans wife and children from their generational homelands., where they had seen generation after generation grow up there. He seemed impressed with that imposter family and their forced takeover.

Hi, Lesley, wow what a fantastic place and such a tragic end to it. I am thinking that the rooms opposite the stables were probably for the live-in stable-hand and not guests.

Lesley, Banks do have these homes, mansions listed for sale. They most likely want to much money still for it, while the renovation of them will take thousands of dollars for a possible buyer.

The master bedroom looks like a throwback from the disco era with all the weird color choices. Also kinda like the movie Scarface lol. The sliding doors we call pocket doors. Saw part of that label on that liquor bottle. It's Bailey's Irish Cream Liquor. Great exploration agai8n. God bless you!

Thank you for this explore Leslie. I hope to catch more of yours and Maureno's, here in the U.S. i must say I think what you all explore is way more grand than here. I have seen houses that cost way more than this one that are being demolished for another one in it's place. People come in buy surrounding property and things salvageable are removed always in Canada before it is demolished. Looking forward to the next one!

Congratulations!!! I love your channel so much!!... The way you show the houses on video, how you explain the histories of the places and the passion that you put on things you see that amaze you is really beautiful. I have seen a lot of your explorations and I love the way you film the houses and their details, it's really immersive and you make the viewer feel as if it was right there beside you exploring the place, as you film every single little thing slowly and not as a flashing scene, giving you time to admire everything... I hope you can continue doing this, exploring more places and showing us all these magnificent antique and abandoned buildings... I too share the same thought you have about not giving these places a new life, to other people who might enjoy it somehow as you said it, it's a shame really. Also the fact that it's really unnecessary to leave graffiti on the walls of such amazing places, I too disagree on this since I don't get the point of why people do it... Take care of yourself, I love you so much!!... See you soon! ^u^

I agree, the graffiti is unnecessary. Is it mostly in America? Don't see it so much in other countries
@lilianavergara3776
@lilianavergara3776 11 ай бұрын
@@Minkagurl Yes it happens in all the continent of America. I don't see much of this graffiti habit in other continents, because in other continents people might steal things yes, but they don't destroy the place to a point in which everything is completely ruined and disorganized... But I think this wouldn't happen if people gave their empty abandoned homes to other people so that they could take care of them with all the antique stuff on it. Unfortunately, no one seems to care about these things and it's a shame. So much money is invested into these houses with so much luxury for big numbers of people, it's a shame that people is so destructive, evil and selfish with these houses, palace, castles, mansions, you name it...When they could give it to people who really needs them. I really can't understand how can there be people with so many properties that they don't even use them, and at the same time people who does't have even one square room to sleep on... Nor I understand the need to damage and destroy these unique places frozen in time.

Come back to Tennessee we have a ton of cool abandoned places to explore! So cool you were right down the road from where we live. It is so sad people just leave everything behind. I would at least take my photos and heirlooms. It also breaks my heart watching your videos how much art that should be in a museum is just rotting in some of these homes. Especially the castles overseas i wish we could save all of that history.
