...."No one lives in this place(*POP!!!* the light goes out)" Wow! 😨I actually jumped when that happened!!! I think the resident ghost was saying "I'm here! I am someone!" That was so scary!😬 Thanks for the great vids, they're always so interesting, especially the ones where you guys share the backstory/facts of the people who used to live there 👍

The timber/wood in this place is awesome ,the first piece of furniture shown is well crafted and the stair well is also awesome .For someone to have lived like this and never return is sad.......such history hopefully will be documented and shared ,Doesn't Germany have a public trustee? Even lands department could step in and have these houses registered so as to keep documentation of contents safe ......

What a beautiful house we would move in if we could!!! The light going out right when you said no one lives here made me jump! Here in Canada we just don't have places like this...... Our abandoned building look very abandoned in a very short time.... Glad this beautiful old home is so well preserved.... :)We thank you for this video!

This place is AMAZING. People just abandoned it and noone else claimed it. That is so sad. How wonderful it is mostly without any vandalism. It is like a time capsule. Another great video, Leslie. Hope Jordy is fine.

Beautiful home! With a little bit of tender loving care and a bunch of elbow grease it would be move in ready in no time. I admire the fact that people respect abandoned property in your country!! If that place were to be in the states, it would have been stripped from content to copper wire. Thanks for the video!!!
@jagboy697 жыл бұрын
Native Europeans generally have more respect for others personal property over there. Only recently have people begun to lock doors and remove keys from their cars. Notice I didn't mention the immigrant crisis? lol

This house would need more than some elbow grease if you ask me : brand new roof tiles would be were I'd start from because the chipping paint tells tales about how humidity is harming this place.

It is refreshing to see an abandoned home with no graffiti and only natural decay. Here in the states, if a home is abandoned for any length of time, it seems people cannot help themselves and simply have to break some of the windows, break the walls open to steal the copper electric wires, and place graffiti all over the walls! Love your video. Keep up the great work.

You are good people, so respectful of the properties you show us, and so good of you to respect the prayer beads, and we were so moved by your respect for religious people. My whole family loves you all. We live in the U.S. in South Carolina, and we do so appreciate you taking us with you through Belgium. And WOW to the aluminum foil GIANT shark hanging in the bathroom, I wonder how long it took for somebody to make out of aluminum foil! And love the way you show us the beautiful sewing machine and those sturdy beautiful wood beds. We can't wiat to see more of your great videos. This is one of my favorite places , I seen the original video when you made it. Those were antelope not Bambis, (deer).Really like the built in closets it just seems things made sense in the the past.
@jagboy697 жыл бұрын
Those are not built in closets. They are wardrobes. Ya see, If a room, no matter how small it may be has a door on it, you get taxed on it as a bedroom. So, homes are built without American style closets. As a bonus, you can now move your closet to a different wall if you like. Some places still have a TV and radio tax. Once a year, you will see good working Tv's being thrown away... Why? To avoid the tax. Want a car with a big v8? Again, you get taxed on engine size every year. Another reason, most european cars have tiny little engines.
@stillbee72227 жыл бұрын
worldtraveler How much tax do they have to pay? Just curious. It seems it would be worth it if you they don't have to pay for electricity.
@jagboy697 жыл бұрын
stillbee they do pay for electricity and it's not cheap. they just don't shut the power off between tenants... the tax wasn't bad for tvs.. 20-30bucks a year if I remember. I never paid property taxes. I rented in Germany while in the US military there. US people didn't get hit with the silly taxes. Now heating oil I did pay for. OMFG was it expensive. you learned real quick how to live with being cold.
@stillbee72227 жыл бұрын
worldtraveler holy smokes lol. Thank you for the info. At the beginning of his video he said they didn't pay for electricity that's why I said that.
@jagboy697 жыл бұрын
