I have this machine. It was gifted to me by my mother in law. She received it as a graduation gift from her parents. She was born in 1954. Mine is in the original carrying case with all original paperwork including the warranty and service information. I find it crazy that if this machine was made in the 60's, they sold it with the same service center list that was printed in 1902. So 58 years later the service center list wouldn't need to be updated? Just seems odd! It is a mystery machine. Lol

Hello. I have a very similar machine, Brother, Pacesetter 725. Mine is a later model of the above. My parents bought it for my dowry in 1990. Before that my Mum had the same machine probably a few years older which she must have bought in the 1980's. Both machines were bought from Saudi Arabia. I have found an excellent machine technician (in Lahore, Pakistan) who has helped me with the maintenance of the machine in the last few years. It is an absolute workhorse indeed. I have all the parts and presser feet of the machine that came with it. I love this machine for its historical, emotional and functional reasons.

My grandmother bought this for me as a gift when I found out I was pregnant. That was in 1974. As it turned out it was a great gift, as she taught me how to sew and I ended up having twin daughters. My husband was in the Service so things were tight back then and I made most of my girls' clothes. I still have the machine but need to have it cleaned up and maintenance done since I have not used it in over 20 years. It is still in the table that she bought with it back in 74. Had the book too but had a flood ruin it back in 2007. Cannot find another one anywhere!

I have a model 411 from the mid 1960’s. Trust that this one is very late 1960’s but as others have mentioned, likely early 1970’s. Shame Brother do not keep their history like other manufacturers.

Hello my friend, Try the following steps: 1- check if there's any object or pieces of fabric or threads stuck inside the bobbin area 2- theck all mechanical movements if there's any twisted or losed parts 3- try to use dw40 it may help to release any jammed parts Hope this will help you to figure out the problem, Thank you and all the best 👌 👍

Good Day my friend, I am sorry took long time to get back to you I was very busy, here are the solutions: Tgere are several reasons If sewing machine knob stuck handwheel Handwheel does not turn or is tight The handwheel on the machine should turn freely. By forcing the hand wheel to turn, you could do further damage to your machine. 1. Try to turn the handwheel toward the back of the machine to free up the locked handwheel. 2. Check to make sure that the upper thread is not tangled up. - Re-thread the machine and check if that frees up the handwheel. 3. Turn the machine off and unplug it - Take the needle plate off the machine and remove the bobbin case. - Check to see if the handwheel turns freely. - If Yes, re-install the bobbin case and needle plate using the steps in the manual and go to Step 4. - If No, continue to the next step. - Confirm that there is no thread jam in the hook area. - Clean any debris that is in the hook area. - Turn the machine back on. 4. Turn the handwheel toward you once again to see if it is locked. note icon Sometimes the bobbin case can be out of place and will not allow the handwheel to turn. If you broke a needle and it fell into the shuttle area, it can also cause the handwheel to jam up. 5. If the issue persists, your machine will require servicing. Try the following steps

Have a brother festival machine tmachine the feed dogs don't work how do I fix that?
@WorldRandomVideos
@WorldRandomVideos 2 жыл бұрын
Maybe it was stuck in reverse because the mechanism(s) were all gunked up. Take off the accessory box on the machine and the bottom plate. move the mechanism so they move freely and take out any gunk you see. The feeder dogs should now move back & forth in addition to up & down, feeding the material properly
@WorldRandomVideos
@WorldRandomVideos 2 жыл бұрын
It probably needs gears replaced or has a loose gear. Unfortunately you need to take it in to a repair shop. (I am assuming that you are not in button hole or have the stitch length set to zero) remove the cover and rotate the machine to see if the feed dog stuck or what causing the problem, it must be on right place at the movement gear, all the best 👌

Sir, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but after the war zigzag machines did not exist, they began to be introduced in the 60s and if you look closely at this machine, even a blind person would see that it is much more current. Also look at the manual, the manual is practically in color, this type of manual began after the 70s, the previous ones were precarious instructions in black and white drawings because there was nothing in color, neither photographs nor television, you want to be sure that what I say is true??? just open and check inside I'm sure you will find plastic parts and this will confirm undeniably that it was made after the 70s.

@@WorldRandomVideos Yeah it was in the late 60s and early 70s when manufacturers began to introduce nylon or plastic parts into sewing machines, they did it to cut costs. But your machine does not have to be a lemon, if everything works well and it has no broken parts and you clean and service your machine, you will have it for many years! Also if your machine was made in Japan it's still a good machine, enjoy it and good luck! 👌👌❤Excuse my writing. English is not my first language.
