How to refill and reset Brother toner cartridge TN880 TN3480 TN3430 TN-3520 for use in HL-L5000D HL-L5100DN HL-L5200DW HL-L5200DWT HL-L6200DW HL-L6200DWT HL-L6250DW HL-L6300DW HL-L6400DW HL-L6400DWT DCP-L5500DN DCP-L5600DN DCP-L5650DN MFC-L5700 MFC-L6700DW MFC-L6750DW MFC-L6800DW MFC-L6900DW MFC-8950DW MFC-8950DWT L5800 LDW5850
There are four different toner cartridges:
TN820/TN3430/TN3420 3,000 pages,
TN850/TN3480/TN3440 8,000 pages
TN880/TN3512/TN3470 12,000 pages.
TN890/TN3520/TN3490 20,000 pages but only fit into HL-6400 / MFC-L6900 series.
The part number for the toner cartridges depend on the region.
America TN820 TN850 TN880 TN890
Europe TN3430 TN3480 TN3512 TN3520
Asia/Oceania TN3420 TN3440 TN3470 TN3490
Reset gear reset the printer and tell the printer if there is a standard yield, high yield, super high yield or ultra high yield cartridge installed.
When you install a new toner cartridge, the bias voltage is set to a high. As the toner cartridge is used, the bias voltage is reduced gradually down. This is necessary because a new toner cartridge has a tendency to print light.

- Toner
- Screwdriver
- Isopropyl alcohol

Try to reset it through the control panel. Open the cover, press "secure" and "cancel", press arrow up until the display shows the toner, press ok. press arrow up to show "reset", press ok

Brother toner powder is almost the same for all cartridges but you have to perfectly remove al the old toner
