It has been a while since you uploaded this video. Thank you. I would say that those who are asking 'how' below wouldn't be able to perform the operation you are showing! If you don't know where he is looking and how to get there-you probably can't! I did some deep diving on my brother and found the clog inside the printhead that I had been chasing every couple of printings. Your video helped me do a dive in an area I had never thought to investigate. thanks

Thank you very much for taking the time and sharing your experience. It was exactly my problem. I look at other videos how to take the printer apart and found the little pin at the bottom. It was also the one pin in the black ink. Thank you very much .

Those three cartridge contacts are on a little fingernail-sized bit of plastic that pops out from the top of the cartridge case. A Brother dealer can order that little piece for you. I found one on Ebay.

There is a UTube by an Indian (can understand a word he says) who shows step by step how to disassemble the printer. My only recommendation is to take your own photos and then reassemble in reverse. You’ll be okay.
