I have a KRKnitting machine ,new to me also a 881,my needles on main bed 230 will not stay when I put in work,they slide back I have tried lowering main bed but then holding of ribber doesnt fit so put back s clamps back ,advise please

Have you checked the sponge bar in the main 230 bed and the 230 ribber?

You use T3 for 4ply on a 1x1 rib, what would you recommend for DK yarn? I use T6 for DK yarn when doing a mock rib on the flat bed, but haven't tried it on a ribber yet

I don’t use DK on my standard machine, but on my chunky, after cast on, I would use T1 or 2

June Clark Thank you :-) I finally have taken the plunge and have a chunky machine coming, never had one before, is there a rough correlation you would recommend for DK on a chunky flat bed, ie for a pattern that recommends so many needles for 4ply is there a way of working out how it would work out for DK on a chunky machine? Or is that when swatches are the only way?
