I have been studying different videos for days now...I am a costume designer and the brother is going to be the one...I saw the cricut but it looked complicated for what I need...same with the siloette...I don't want to have to buy special programs...not to mention the ease of the rhinestone feature which I need. I need to be able to scan in from my own drawings on embellishments...thanks to your well explained and easy to understand videos....thanks. You are very good at this☺️

All lot of us have been struggling cutting our vinyls on the half setting certain bits are just not cutting proper making weeding very hard . It just doesn’t weed as well as it did with cm range x

love my scan n cut dx 125 so much better than my scan n cut 350 just wish the mats were a little bit better the stick does not last long at all but tape does help keeps things down

I have auto blades with my sdx125 but the autoblade didn't work well on the balsa wood it said it would cut. I bought the deep cut dial blade but now I'm wondering if I should bother trying to use it because it says it wont cut as deep as the autoblade? I also don't know how to use it because there is no instruction manual.

Great video I have been doing lots of research on these I am looking for something that will cut my patterns out for bag making such as cotton canvas vinyl water proof canvas ect… will this work for that?

The Brother SDX125E (and other SDX models) are able to cut paper with a thickness of 0.1 to 1.0 mm, fabric of 0.25 to 1.0 mm, and felt or a foam sheet (urethane foam) of 3.0 mm can be cut. These thickness values are approximate guidelines.

A suggestion to #Brother is to enable the option of a numeric keypad for precise entering of measurements. This should be something you can do in software via an update. It helps to move your line of home crafting & sewing scanner digital plotter/cutter machines to the Prosumer level. Please also allow those of us who do not use Wi-Fi to have full access to the features we paid for! Downloading one pattern at a time is cumbersome at best. These can all be put into a .ZIP file for easy downloading and then unzipped into their own folders. Why do you make it so hard to get at the files? Is there a limit to the capacity of the USB Flash Drive? Can we use a self-powered USB Hard Disk Drive? Can the DX series read from USB powered external Hard Disk Drives like the WD My Passport?

Do you know any way to safely remove some of the stickness from the Brother Scan n Cut SDX Standard Mat : CADXMAT STD 12? We love the way the machine works, but the mat is so sticky the left over paper sticks to the mat ver tightly and it takes a half hour or more to get the mat clean enough to use again,. I would like to know how to make the mat less sticky without ruining it. Thank you. Our Brother Scan n Cut is the SDX 125e. We just got it at Christmas 2020.

Hey I just got a new machine for the first time. I did the first craft that came with the machine it’s a little favor box. Is it normal for the outline to still be seen on the mat? Did I do something wrong? It looks like I basically cut through the mat even though I didn’t because it can’t be seen from the back.

It is normal for the mat to have cut marks from cutting the material/s but it should not cut completely through the mat that came with your Brother ScanNCut SDX125E or similar ones you may have purchased.

I bought a brother cut and scan in April 2022 from Amazon but it didn't come with a mat so I ordered a mat and it won't recognise by the machine, I message on the website and was advised to call the number given but I live in Guyana the call rate is too expensive and so is shipping and duty paid. So I'm unable to return the machine or to contact anyone to help for my mat to be recognised. Any advice because I'm also a crafter and unable to continue to do things manually as before so hence the reason for my investment in the machine after months of research or does this machine not operational in Guyana?

Deidre , you have to got to the Canvas website and register your email address and give your account a password, then you can register the machine you have, and then the projects are accessible for free and update each month with new projects. plus there is cards you can buy for different pattern collections from your brother store to unlock even more projects from Disney and Tattered lace for example. so go to canvasworkspace.brother.com/en/Home and sign up.

@@deidresesker9284 I have found that the post-it tape works the best, it doesn't catch ahold of the paper like all the other tapes to and tear it when you remove it plus cuts it easily like it is part of the paper, not like the other tape where as sometimes it doesn't cut all the way thru.
