I have so many crafting things going on that I dont have time to use my scanNcut like I would like to. I truly enjoy your videos. Each video I tell myself "Im going to make that" but I dont. I just need to jump in with both feet and purchase some of your products and make a few things. You do a wonderful job of explaining and teaching.

Kathy, the best way to learn is by following along. You can watch the videos and pause to try it. I think of my sessions as a way of investing time. Because of all of the time I spend on experimentation, I save time in the long run by not having to use the paper trimmer or fussy cut.

GREAT video Kim! I have saved an image and then when I added say a dozen, they all landed on top of each other. not knowing what I did wrong, I manually moved each one. you showing me the button today was fantastic!!! (you probably showed that before and I didn't pay attention!) I have the CM 350 but I am assuming that machine has the same feature to separate them so thank you again very much!!! your tips and tricks really do save time! I loved your projects too - especially the showered with love tins

Thanks Kathy, the Auto Align is such a time saver and the funny thing was when I did it earlier, it didn’t fit as many umbrellas. Still, it does a great job and if you don’t care about the orientation of your shapes, it will fit even more.

On the Beehive update I noticed your red finger tips on your right hand. I figured you must be busy with your Valentine's projects (LOL)! I was sort of lost about the heart punches as I don't have them yet so didn't know the one made a border when they cut out the stamped image.
@PaperedChef
@PaperedChef 5 жыл бұрын
I’m totally cracking up because when I just looked down at my hands, they looked bloody from all of the red ink. I also didn’t know about the border until I tried using the punch. That is what sparked my inspiration to do this video and compare methods. I already had the umbrellas dove when I made that discovery. Thanks for watching.

I throughly enjoy your tutorials, I was wondering if you have tried the quill pen to put foil on your projects. Then that fill button really matters because it will fill in your little shapes with foil, verses just drawing a foil shape. Truly thank you for all you do.
@PaperedChef
@PaperedChef 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Karla, I haven’t used the foiling accessories. Every time I turn around, there’s another application or other way we can do something else. It’s hard to keep up. I recently purchased the Calligraphy kit and didn’t receive it yet. Foiling is in the distant future for me because I don’t think I would use it that much.

Question....the sheet of paper with all the big “foil” hearts, can I do a direct cut to cut each of those hearts out?
@PaperedChef
@PaperedChef 4 жыл бұрын
The paper is From my Heart. It is retired now. I have the punches but yes, you can cut any patterns out with the ScanNCut as long as there are clear areas behind them. Check my PlayLists for the topic of Cutting Patterned Paper with the ScanNCut.

Hi papered chef, I ve got a design and cut mat, will it work on my Scan and cut 1000 please? Thankyou
@PaperedChef
@PaperedChef 4 жыл бұрын
Carmen, the mats in the ScanNCut would work if you are using a CM model but not if you are using an SDX model. The CM mats are different than the DX mats. You have to see DX in the name of the item when you purchase it. Here is a link. SDX125 Standard Tack Adhesive Mat: amzn.to/2KWWEwB

I just got my scanNCut sdx125 it has message saying the feeder lever is released. Lock the feeder release lever any suggestion
@PaperedChef
@PaperedChef 4 жыл бұрын
It is something that commonly happens. Try locking the feeder which is an easy fix. Restart your machine and then if nothing seems to work, call Brother Tech Support. They can help with these issues. Sorry, my machine didn’t work right away either but now it rocks.

You may want to use the Image Tracing feature inside of Canvas Workspace. I’m also not able to scan anything larger than 12 by 12 with my CM350 even though I have a 12 by 24 cutting mat for it.
