I just rediscovered this movie & soundtrack. Last I viewed was in 1975. The first Brother Sun & Sister Moon song brought a tear to my eye. A powerful movie about religion, politics, poverty, & what's really important in life. Thanks for sharing this.

Deseo ver esta pelicula, comprendo que solo muestra una pequeña parte de la vida de San Francisco de Asís en amistad con mi Jesús, y tal vez no sea tan fideligno la pelicula a su vida, pero por lo que he visto espero mucho. Su banda sonora es impresionante, y si la pelicula si se ve desde el punto de vista católico, se obtienen bastantes frutos

How did you obtain in stereo?

well...I discovered that the demo 2 stereo ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKO5q3WnhK51g6c ) is the same used in the final song where choruses and trumpets were added. So I took the demo and with a software I cut away the voice, then I overmixed the final song as it is in the film, obtaining the original stereo song. Magic!...

questione di gusti, io preferisco quella inglese, anche perchè è stata inventata prima e perchè rispondeva bene alle richieste musicali di Zeffirelli per quel film...Il regista anche nella sua autobiografia diceva di aver sempre disapprovato la versione italiana
