outstanding instructions for accessing the machine. my dogs were actually moving up and down but not forward and back. one drop of oil on an arm near the drive mechanism that was not following a cam did the trick and i'd have been HOURS and HOURS without this video. THANK YOU!!!

Thank you very much for the video. I needed to know that the tab was preventing the front case removal after screw removal. I added a bit of silicon grease to the large wobble cam on the main shaft as a precaution.

I watched this well structured video and then went to work on my wife's VX 1100 which looks very similar on the outside. Unfortunately those two slightly different numbers on the end mean that the VX11OO comes apart totally different from the VX1120.

In removing the front cover, all screws are out, pressed the neck and the top bottom popped up without issue, but the top part refuses to come off and I am afraid it will break if I pull on it too hard. Any thoughts? In the video, yours comes off no problem. Thank you! I've had my machine for about 26 years and just recently has started to give me issues when sewing

Great video. What would cause this same model feed dogs to go up and down but not forward and back? Machine doesn't feed. Reverse lever is loose and janky.

I am using this very same make/model, and at the end of my 1st project, I encountered a problem. Going through thick seems to adjoin, machine lagged, them got loud, almost a rattle type noise as it still runs. Now, the needle thread won't pick up the bobbin thread by hand rolling or power pedal. What did I do wrong, and what will solve my problem? I am a mechanis, is this fixable, adjustable?

I would suggest that a part slipped, broke or ? So likely the timing is off if no parts are damaged. The hook and the needle need to be timed correctly..

I have machine apart, the pivot isn't stuck but there's no tension on it so it goes in motion with gear? Is there supposed to be a spring or something? Wish I could add a picture!

Help Please!! Same machine stuck in Reverse!! I have this machine I bought used. It's stuck in reverse! I took the front cover off and sprayed WD40 on the lever but it still won't pop back up to forward on its on. Should I take the back case off and oil it up under the presser foot??

I had the same issue. I just sprayed wd40 on the lever for reverse and kept engaging/dis-engaging it and now it returns to forward via the springs like it should. Quick and easy fix. Had to take the front of the case off to get to it but just 4 screws on the back and the one to the left of the needle. Running smooth once again!

Got same machine and material won t feed! Took apart per your video and put back together and no feeding! Dog feet go up and down but not feeding! Material just sits and when I push foot pedal it stays in one spot and develop a big thread lock up! Have to cut it all out! When I roll wheel down so needle can pickup bobbin thread, it goes down hard and sometimes I can see needle coming in the outside of the bobbin, not good! Sometimes it does pick up thread on but still stays in one spot!?!???! Grrrrrrrrr

From your description it sound as if the feed dogs are not cycling thru moving Up, Back, Down, Forward and Up to start another cycle. Review the video starting at about the 6:00 minute mark to check again. It is possible that the lever is still stuck or that something else is stuck or perhaps misaligned. Good Luck.
