Thank you for these guides! They have helped my husband (who is a new member) very much and we look forward each week to watching a new one. We appreciate all that you do. Would you consider a printed guide or workbook?

I'm so glad you both are finding it helpful. Thank you for the support. The show itself keeps us very busy so we don't have any plans for printed resources beyond making the PDF of the show slides available (link in the description). But the Church has a great workbook style manual available that you might find very helpful. Check it out here: abn.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/old-testament-seminary-student-material-2018?lang=eng

I have a question about “Divine investiture” Does Heavenly Father ever speak to people on earth when He is not introducing Jesus Christ or when Christ is not present too? At those times when He appears to be speaking, is Jesus always speaking on His behalf through Divine investiture?
@brotherfullmer2 жыл бұрын
I think the clearest teaching we have on this is from 3 Nephi 11:32 - "...I bear brecord of the Father, and the Father beareth record of me, and the Holy Ghost beareth record of the Father and me;..." I'm not sure I could say much more than that. We get caught up, sometimes, with exactly who is speaking when I think the Godhead is trying to teach us that it doesn't matter. They are one voice and perfectly unified. So whether it is the Father, Son, Holy Ghost, angel or even "the voice of [His] servants, it is the same" D&C 1:38.

I know I'm a little late on posting this but observe, as you read, the words that end in "im". This is a plural ending, however, it's more than that. It's a "dual" ending. This means that any words ending in "im" should be the idea of two. Note that the Urim and Thimmim (two glasses tied in a bow), Cherubim (two angels or cherubs), kokoubeam or Kokoubim (Fac 2, 22 and 23) and, finally Elohim (two Gods but not Jehovah being a separate in the Scriptures). Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother? More than likely.

Unfortunately the OT Times at a Glance link prints with font too small to read, and only able to print the first portion of the document. Would it be possible to alter the document to print it in 2-3 pages that would allow us to (overlap) the pages and tape together as a continuous readable document?
@brotherfullmer2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ruth. That PDF is intended for digital use so it is large. If you want a page by page to print (good idea by the way) you can just use the pages from the Ensign. The link is here: abn.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/ensign/2002/01/old-testament-times-at-a-glance?lang=eng&adobe_mc_ref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.churchofjesuschrist.org%2Fstudy%2Fensign%2F2002%2F01%2Fold-testament-times-at-a-glance%3Flang%3Deng&adobe_mc_sdid=SDID%3D719385862B1A3302-747307ECBFCECEF7%7CMCORGID%3D66C5485451E56AAE0A490D45%2540AdobeOrg%7CTS%3D1640989364

If The Miracle of Forgiveness was such a great book, why isn't it published by the Church anymore? Hmmm, I wonder.

It may not have been published by the church and therefore have copywrite or publishing issues.
