Your presentations are so much appreciated. You cover all of the information not just the come follow me specific sections and chapters. Thank you for all of the effort. As I attempt to search the scriptures carefully I find I can use your presentation to get a Super Start on marking my own scriptures. Rod Teachout

Hi, John and Jay. Here is an insight that you might appreciate. There are many connections between 2 Kings 3 and John 2 (water to wine). Both episodes begin with people making a request of a prophet. Both prophets respond with the the phrase "What have I to do with thee?" (I believe Jesus was quoting Elisha). There are many similarities in the processes by which Jesus made wine and Elisha *made the water red*--thereby saving the Israelite armies winning the battle, and fulfilling Elisha's promises. If you read John 2 with this understanding, that Jesus was answering his mother's request for help making wine for the feast with a quote they were both familiar with, and that this quote referred to an episode in which Elisha had turned the water red-- you suddenly understand what Jesus actually conveyed to his mother: "I will turn the water red!" A beautiful promise to a faithful woman.

Thanks for a great episode. Just a head's up. You've got a typo in the title, it should be 2 Kings not 1 Kings. :)
