Brothers of Metal was formed in 2012 after a long night of partying in Sweden, with lots of alcohol and Manowar. The next morning there were not only lots of empty bottles, but also the recording of a finished song. Two of the party guests published it on a music portal. They entered the title of a Manowar song as the band name: Brothers of Metal. With a little residual alcohol they would have noticed that not everyone on the recording was a brother. A tour manager heard the song and asked the party guests for help. One of his bands had dropped out and he asked the group to step in. Suddenly the party guests were a band with a problem: they only had one song. They had to have a second party and then have enough songs for the tour. The party is basically still going on today. In 2015 they released their first album under their own distribution, which was later re-released on the German hard rock/metal label AFM Records. Their second album reached number 9 in the German album charts in 2020 and they are currently touring there (and a bit around it). They didn't make it to the USA. Ylva Eriksson (female voice) and Joakim Lindbäck Eriksson (growls) are siblings. Male singer Mats Nilsson wasn't there right from the start.
