Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP) was a progressive rock supergroup formed in the early 1970s. The band consisted of keyboardist Keith Emerson, vocalist and bassist Greg Lake, and drummer Carl Palmer. They were known for their elaborate stage performances, virtuosic musicianship, and blending of classical music influences with rock.
"Endless Enigma" is a song from their album "Trilogy," released in 1972. The song showcases the band's signature style, featuring intricate keyboard work by Emerson, powerful vocals by Lake, and dynamic drumming by Palmer. The lyrics are cryptic and surreal, adding to the mystique of the song.
Rachel Flowers is a highly talented multi-instrumentalist and composer known for her exceptional abilities despite being blind and having been born prematurely. She was born in July 1993. Flowers gained widespread recognition for her extraordinary musical talents at a very young age.
Rachel Flowers is proficient in a variety of instruments, including piano, flute, guitar, bass, and drums. She began playing the piano at the age of two and quickly displayed an innate ability to play complex pieces by ear. She later expanded her musical repertoire to include other instruments, showcasing her versatility and skill across different genres of music, including classical, jazz, rock, and progressive rock.
Despite facing challenges due to her blindness, Flowers has pursued her passion for music with remarkable determination and has become an inspiration to many. She has collaborated with various artists and has performed at prestigious venues and events worldwide.

Nice work. I’ve easily listened to this a thousand times. ELP was a high school staple. (For about 10 of us weirdos. Even though ELP was huge the only thing you’d ever hear on normal radio was Lucky Man.)

She’s better by herself. Her solo efforts doing Tarkus, and all of their stuff is mind blowing.

For anyone's information. *Rachel Flowers is TOTALLY BLIND.* She was devastated when Keith Emerson committed suicide. She played several tribute concerts after Emerson passed. You could tell his passing affected her. But Keith Emerson's will live on as long as Rachel plays it.

Yes, not that there's anything wrong with mentioning it but we decided not to discuss that for this video - we noticed after seeing the title of the documentary of her life. We decided that after noticing there was no mention of this anywhere on her own website.

@@glennandadriansrocktalk - but you did mentioned her blindness in the description. This video, by the way, did come out before Keith took his life. There are videos where Rachel & Keith was performing together. Might want to look for those It really is no big deal. But a quick mention Rachel is blind just in case someone doesn't read your description (unless, like me, needs original video) & doesn't know who Rachel Flowers is & seeing what she played is utterly fantastic.

@@glennandadriansrocktalkHave you seen her play tarkus on Keith's huge keyboard? There are a couple of videos of her playing some of ELP's songs. Rachel is amazing,

@@glennandadriansrocktalkRachel:s talent is wasted here I think. Wait till you see her performing tarkus by herself!! It will blow your mind. A friend of the family was doing maintenance on Keith's rig and she got to take it for a test run 😊

One more comment. I understand that this virtual band was initially created by Mihály Tunkli (Misi) and Dave Becher. The band has other performances prior to Rachel's incorporation (even some by ELP). She was invited at Dave's initiative. The band, already with Rachel, later made Karn Evil 9, complete.

Thank you Glenn and Adrian for this excellent reaction. The Trilogy album by EL&P is a studio work, where dozens of overdubs were used and, therefore, it could not be replicated in the shows without auxiliary musicians, which the band never wanted to do (the 3 of them tried to do it, but they soon abandoned the idea for not achieving a good result). Rachel isn't a really popular artist, she doesn't have the presence or make the kind of music that mainstream audiences like. But she has the admiration and recognition of those of us who know her work and her outstanding musical gifts. The documentary about her life, perhaps premature, is available on KZbin. Excellent cover as well performed by various artists musicians, but also that piece of music which it shows how Emerson Lake Palmer, the three pieces band could play this one song by themselves, they were all geniuses and one of the first pioneers of the best electronic fusion progressive rock.
