The red-shirted guy wandering in the background is Pablo González Sarre, bassist for the Mexican pop band Los Claxons. He's a long time friend of the girl's father Luis Villarreal, who asked him to teach Ale when she started playing bass. Pablo eventually told the girls they should start learning how to write their own music, so he took on that job, as well as teaching the girls how to be a proper band. Pablo would assign them to write a song of a specific genre, starting on piano, then they had to arrange the music for a band presentation at their next meeting. Pablo says he would guide them by asking questions about what they are trying to say or how does the music convey their feelings instead of making his own opinionated recommendations. Those "homework" songs were never intended to be released, but after their cover of Enter Sandman went viral they decided they wanted to attend Berklee School of Music and chose to release some of the songs as a fund raiser on the April 2015 iTunes EP "Escape the Mind". After they attended Berklee in the Summer of 2015 the remaining "homework" songs became the starting point for their first album, XXI Century Blood.

It’s difficult to describe how you feel, for me it’s like a very proud Grandpa! I wouldn’t have missed any part of their evolution for the world, and am celebrating it with seeing them again in a few weeks time when they come to the UK, I saw them last year with Muse - two birds with one stone for me 😂, this year at the Birmingham show which is much closer to home for me! Unfortunately, Ozzy mend his fate. Maybe if he sees and hear them he is coming back to life because he is almost dead. Too bad to write something like this, but it’s the truth. Another thing is, that the Warning is playing their own songs and just a few band is left to cover like the Beatles, Deep Purple, or Pink Floyd. But who knows, they become a sensation, and others are covering their songs but I’m sure that they not going back to cover songs.

And in my long time this girls made me feel the same way especially because of this concert. I hope that my prediction become true about this girls. Not because they playing rock or hard rock, their lyrics reminds me of the Fab Four. They say what comes out of their hearth without fear of consecvences which finished Axl Rose carriers with the song “ civil War “. That is the only fear I have about them because today’s leaders really don’t like to hear the truth about their doings or wrongdoings. That’s all!

Profundity of the lyrics is astounding. How can a 13 year old come up with such thoughts? What did she write when she was younger? We know from Dany that she can make a song about anything including making lemonade. Has to be among the most intellectual minds of her generation. Imagine Pablo's reaction when his wards submitted their 1st assignment of writing own songs over the weekend. He must have rushed to Luis & Mony to chalk out a road map to polish these 3 uncut diamonds on hand. No wonder he convinced the girls to record their 1st efforts at songwriting - Escape the Mind.

As a non-musical person I appreciate your comments Glenn even though I have no clue what it means - 6:52 - "she's trying to hit harmonics, not just notes..."
@glennandadriansrocktalk9 ай бұрын
Hi Steve. Thanks for mentioning it, I'll keep it in mind. Harmonics are made by the player just very lightly (but measured) touching the string that they then pluck softly. At that point, they are no longer touching the string, and it creates a note that continuously plays until either you touch it again, or, it loses steam, which could be 20 seconds later. If you have heard the beginning of Rush's song "Red Barchetta", the guitarist is playing all the notes that way during the fade-in. It takes extra concentration and accuracy to do well, and it's even harder if you're singing lead. Hope this helps.
@steve318k9 ай бұрын
@@glennandadriansrocktalk - Thanks again I appreciate the explanation. I'm sure I've heard the song by Rush, I'd have to listen to it again though. I guess what I should have added to my comment was " and that's okay though. " I'm a 64-year-old retired guy, just listening to the best music I've heard in decades. As Dany once said, " 'we' don't realize how much goes into making an album"... I've 'learned' (and I use that term loosely) more in the 8 months or so since I first heard them, then in my entire life. And it's all just good general knowledge. It won't make a difference in the end... As a listener I am music first lyrics second or third or fourth. And there is no technical reasons why I like or dislike a song. It just comes down to my two little ears... If they like what they're hearing, that's a good thing !!
