In the first song they sang together one of the commenters said Matt did a good job of "holding it down." I think it was Jason Mraz. That was accurate then and is accurate now. Matt does a great job of holding space for Rudi to shine. If we're being honest, no one would of been that impressed with him if he'd had a different partner. Rudi is a star. (I don't know if I love her personality based on her still being best friends with Jamie and throwing shade at Bri by saying Jamie was the winner in her eyes. They are both young, I get it.) Point is, Rudi was HANDS DOWN the most talented person on the show. No one can dispute that.

This performance was because of the two of them. They just blend and play off of each other with perfection. Career-wise I think she will do better on her own than Matt will, Rudi is capable of writing her own music and not just doing covers. Matt has already been doing his thing for 10 years .
