Her bankai is new content. In the manga the zero division was defeated offscreen. As a fan i really hope Kubo can give a proper defeat to the zero division this time.

A clarification about the release of Senjumaru's Bankai. The three others did not give her power. Each of their powers is so world shattering that 1 Bankai release causes the three world's to tremble. Now, never mind if all 4 releasing at the same time. If even 2 members of 0 Squad release at the same time, the balance of the worlds will shatter. To counter this very real possibility, the four royal guards below Ichibe performed a blood seal and tied their their lives and their power together. Because the implications of 2 bankai being released is so severe, they made it so that the other three have to be dead for the fourth member to release Bankai. Craziness

so happy to be able to see her bankai. something we didn't get to see in the manga. its ability to use one's fate against themselves. the question i have is does it the change the fate as well? should they stay sealed then their fates would then change ? idk but really cool. her bankai is very specific on the way it works. so just remember her bankai in the future to understand context. :)

As well, the restriction placed on the 4 bankai prevents boredom and corruption over thousands of years. If members of 0 Squad wanted to revolt, they would need bankai to beat Ichibe. Never mind the fact that Ichibe can un-name your Bankai, a revolt would require killing the other three members without backup.
