Just so we’re clear, Askin(the Quincy who kinda looks like Aizen) wasn’t always a member of Yhwach’s Royal Guards. He recently became a member sometime after Kenpachi’s battle. That’s why he said, “Looks like I’m the only one who had the privilege of being brought from below.” An episode prior he said, “I hope I can be among the chosen to go up.”

I honestly thought he just picked the strongest of the non-Guard who were available and brought them with him. Bazz-B clearly didn't wanna fight him back at their HQ so it's clear that he's definitely good, and most of the others are either dead or incapacitated at this point aren't they?

[Tidbits & Clarifiations][Lotta reading my bad] - This entire opening sequence between Yhwach and Ichibei is exclusive to the anime. We get some pretty important details, Ichibei seemingly is using the Left Hand of the Soul King and Yhwach can't use whatever his abilities are to see through the Soul King. Further, we now see how Yhwach abilities became "confined" (Basically Yhwach absorbs the left hand which in turn seals his Ability) - With the added scene we get additional context as to what Yhwach motives may be. He seems to be upset about how the three realms came about and he claims that his father, the soul king has been put through humiliation. - The Flashback scene takes place in the World of the Living, it's the Licht Reich which is the Quincies empire. Ichibei was their to negotiate, which is crazy to think because it seems that 0 Squad rarely leave the royal palace unless it's very important. - The lines "I can see it all" and "I'll show you" is a great expression of their seperate ideals Yhwach is someone who looks forward and seeks a new future, whereas Ichibei knowns and sees the worlds as it is and wishes to maintain the status quo - We see Uryu activate something, so it's proper to speculate what is it he did or is doing. - A scene is removed where Yhwach arragontly ignores Senjumara and steps leisurely pass her, it was a cool scene that express Yhwach's defiance against the Soul Palace and everything they stand for. - When Yhwach escapes the Cage the camera seems to hone in on Uryu, many have speculated that it is Uryu's unknown ability that allowed for that to occur. The cage makes it impossible for things that have reishi to escape so whatever ability allowed him to get out must be quite strong. (This isn't how it occurred in the Manga) - Sidenote Some people thought Yhwach was being metaphorical when he says "my father" but given the fact that he has the same eyes as the Soul King, it's to be assumed that Yhwach is in fact the son of the Soul King. - Sidenote 2, The 0 Squad are not Gods per say, but they are extremely strong Shinigami, technically speaking all Shinigami are "Death Gods". SPOILERS: It's actually very much left to ambiguous wether Yhwach is the biological son of the Soul King or if it's metaphorical and he's an aspect or bonded with an aspect of the Soul King (akin to Pernidas for the former or Gerard for the later). Before the court 2 intro scene, him being an aspect wasn't far from a consensus, but that scene did put the question back on the table.

@@mp6640 The problem is, if he is the biological son of the Soul King the timeline makes no sense. On top of that, him just being an aspect of the Soul King would explain his initial state as blind, death and unable to move, much more than the Soul King's son just being somehow born like that. On top of that him being an aspect wouldn't go against the similarities with Jesus Christ due to the Holy Trinity.

@xegin 157, I’m confused how would the timeline makes no sense. The Soul King is the one that created all three worlds (soul society, living world, Hueco Mundo) right? Then Yhwach was born and leading the Quinces. Yhwach even questioned the cycle of life and souls when all three worlds were separated. So there’s an implication that he was there when all three worlds were connected and separated. Him being born into the world was making the comparison of how Jesus was born.

Yeah Bleach was about to be my 3rd most favorite anime of 2023 after Vinland saga s2 and AOT finale but these final three episodes of Bleach cour 2 made it to my 1st most favorite anime of 2023

Well in the manga Squad zero was beaten almost instantly due to Kubo's helath condition he had to make a lot of things how he didn't intend to and being pressured by his editor basically but the anime is changing a lot of things including the sence where Ichibe took away yawch bleach's *eyes* or should I say--.
