Fantastic Explore, and a large mine! Great find ! A wonderful example of Room & Pillar mining. You don't see those often on KZbin. You are brave to have gone underground alone, but at least you had a friend waiting at the mouth in case too much time passed. The only worry I had was your single helmet light. Never go underground with only one light. Had it gone dead, you would have been in grave trouble. Thanks for going slow and looking around at all the details. It felt like I was there.

Brilliant video. Thanks for sharing. Grew up just down the hill and spent many years wandering around down here. Used to go in the grated entrance not far from the pepper pot. It's been over 10 years since I last paid a visit. Don't worry too much about getting lost it's a massive circle with lots of paths leading off. Most of the really interesting stuff is off the main track though. The water pools and what used to be the fish fountain and the area they call "Black Magic". Also where it used to link with the MOD workings. Thanks for sharing.

Cool found the entrance a year or two ago but didn't have my torch. Really need to pop back some time soon.

I went in there today. It was very interesting. I took the survey map that you can buy at the Quarryman's arms.

+tomstickland I watched your video, I recognise some places but you've found a few I have yet to visit. Watching someone walk down Browne's Folly scares me every time! I took 8 minutes to walk down those steps in my video!

Hi Darren. I don't have any plans to go there in the near future, I would go more often but I live 150 miles away in East Sussex. I'll let you know.

For this mine you need to park in a car park on the right in woods on the way up a very steep road, of which I can't remember the name. Search the woods, it's not far from the folly and the ammunition dump in the wide ditch in the woods (which is actually a collapsed mine). That's the best I can do as I can't remember much more.

Great video. Where about is this entrance specifically?
@Nigel_Broatch6 жыл бұрын
Sorry I can't remember exactly. It's somewhere in the same woods as Browns Folly.

I asume this was a quarry mine You need to have a better way OF KEEPING TRACK ON ALL OF THOSE PASSAGES.
