wow, applying to schools in America is on another level. In Canada we just use a website, where our school puts our grades for the Universities to see. Then we pick programs at the schools of our choice, and we wait for acceptance. Its that simple. Sometimes depending on the program you may need to submit something extra like a portfolio.

yeah, I actually applied to a few Canadian schools since I'm a Canadian citizen even though I've lived in the US for most of my life. i can 100% confirm that applying to Canadian schools is much simpler and easier; it took me about 10 minutes to apply to each Canadian school whereas I spent several days writing supplements and such for each US school

I submitted my application, but this really helped me see what Brown would be like. All your friends seem so nice also so I'm really glad I applied.

I'm actually so so sorry. I've just been really busy catching up with friends and family since coming home and haven't had much time to work on the video. What does Manny mean by you get less work in College than high school?

well you're taking fewer classes than you do in high school so that cuts down on the total amount of hw you have. honestly i think it depends on the classes that you take. some assign almost no homework; others assign hours per night. personally, I only did homework on three days of the week during first semester but that's because I took relatively easier classes; most people I know had a ton of homework. it may have been that he took classes that had lighter workloads, but in general, classes drown you with homework. also, it may have been that he went to a really rigorous high school; i went to a very laid back public high school so I definitely get more work than I did in high school.

i think i saw somewhere that brown has a higher usage of weed than the other ivies but honestly there isn't significantly more than what you would find at a typical college

How is the financial aid at brown? I applied & im not sure if I’ll get in, but I feel like if I did get in I’ll be unable to afford it? How are you guys able to afford it?

It's wonderful! Brown meets 100% of demonstrated need, so they'll make sure that it's affordable for your family. A huge plus is that Brown recently eliminated loans from its financial aid packages, so all aid is in the form of grants that you don't need to pay back.
